German actress Diane Kruger, known for her roles as Helen of Troy in 2004’s Troy and Bridget von Hammersmark in the 2009 Quentin Tarantino WWII film Inglorious Basterds, has been a brand ambassador for Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre since 2009, and now she serves as the inspiration for JLC’s new collection of ladies’ watches, called Rendez-Vous.Jaeger-LeCoultre, which was founded in 1833, has a long tradition of making watches for women, starting as early as the 1880s with the creation of LeCoultre Caliber 7Hp, one of the first round watch movements with an exceptionally small diameter, which was used in numerous enameled, diamond-set and pearl-beaded timepieces that ladies of the time wore around their neck. 2500 or 8500 ?
Paid a visit to one of my local A.D yesterday with the hope of looking for a Planet Ocean Liquid Metal L.E. As you guessed, they didn't have one. On display in front of me was the 45.5mm new Planet Ocean ceramic with orange 6-9-12. I tried this on and was impressed with the quality and weight of the watch and also how the 6-9-12 reflected the light, quite superb! We talked watches for about 20 minutes and I left with the salesman's card and that he would phone Omega UK about the availability of the LM LE and phone me when he has some more info. He phoned today when he said he would with the news that Omega UK have back orders for 77 of the LM LE and couldn't promise that all will be fulfilled. He also mentioned that the 42mm version of the new PO 8500 with the orange 6-9-12 is also on back order with a total of 74 people waiting.Now comes the dilema, do I buy the 45.5mm 8500 PO which is in stock or wait and see if a PO LM LE comes up?The LM LE is priced at ?3700 with no discount due

Submariner bezels- font question?
Am considering purchasing a used 16613, owner says it is an X series which would date it to 1991. But I am having a hard time with the way the bezel looks, and I can't find a definitive source explaining the different fonts.This is the bezel of the watch- This is a 1991 Submariner found online- I don't have to be an expert to see that the '4' and the '5' on the bezel are completely different.So is the watch actually a different year, has the bezel perhaps been changed for one that is not correct or were there different bezels used in the same year, and it was just an optional look?Thanks for all your help...Stanima
