Three On Three: Comparing The Patek Philippe 5170G, The Vacheron Constantin Harmony Chronograph, And The A. Lange & S?hne Datograph Up/Down (VIDEO)
There is something special about a hand-finished, manually wound, in-house chronograph. It is a category that houses so many of the timepieces to which so many of us aspire to own – and today we will compare three of the very best available in the world today. This original HODINKEE Three On Three pits heavyweight contenders from A. Lange & Söhne, Vacheron Constantin, and Patek Philippe against one another in several categories: design, finishing, wearability, and collectibility. The thing about this comparison is, quite simply, there is no wrong choice – we purposefully selected the finest manually wound chronographs we could think of – all priced similarly – to be able to highlight each watch's strengths and weakness, of which there are many.Have a look at our video first and then read on for the details of these three incredible timepieces. Just wanted to see some wrist shots of anyone with a 44mm ROO (Gold, Steel, Carbon or Platinum ) with a 6.5 wrist. Thanks! I know it depends on the shape and such, just wanted to see some pictures all in one place. Much appreciated Sorry if this has been done before.

Sizing the Aquanaut tropical strap - missing my EZ link
I'm a bit spoiled by the Rolex EZ link extension since I like my watch a bit snug. When I got my 5164A, I ended up sizing it to fit my small wrist. But as I travel and move around in different weather (Honolulu, San Francisco, Europe) the watch is sometimes a bit too tight. So I have ordered an extra strap from my AD and will get it sized differently. My question is if anyone has advice on how much space to leave. Is each notch on the tropical strap 5mm or less?Ideally I don't want the watch too lose so I just need to leave enough room. Any ideas on what to do here would be great. P.s. I really wish I could get an EZ link type fitting since that is perfect :) but I don't want any after market parts on my PatekThanks everyone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
