Aerospace?
Was at my local Rolex AD today, and just happened by the Breitling area. I have been a long time fan of the brand, and own a Chronomat Evolution. Love it although it doesn't get much wrist time these days. Just feels way too big.Anyway, I saw the aerospace and tried it on briefly. Loved it, but wanted to ask what the general feeling was on here for that watch? Does it wear well? Hard to maintain with batteries? Better to buy AD or TRF trusted seller? If TRF, any recommendations as to who? Thanks
Finally feeling like a true member of the Patek Philippe Club
With the incoming of my first magazine copy... Decided to celebrate with a few shots of my 5164 and using the magazine as a backdrop:There's just something special about how that dial shimmers in sunlight and at different angles.
Aquanaut has anti magnetic technology? (Milgauss)
I was watching a YouTube review of the 5167 and the review stated the 324S has anti magnetic technology incorporated in the movement. I was thinking about the Rolex Milgauss when he said it. Is that BS or fact?
New sub nd owner
New to (any) forum, first time Rolex owner. Just picked up my new sub nd ref#114060 yesterday. Had initially thought I wanted the AK. I was drawn to the black dial and colorful wording. Saw the DJ 41 and nixed the idea of the AK. AD did not have the sub in stock and waited a week for them to get in stock. After comparing the DJ and sub, I went with what spoke to me-the sub. Coupled with endless research and many hours reading this very insightful forum, I feel like I made a well informed decision.
Vintage Rolex service
Would appreciate opinions. I have an early 1680 gold sub with early style raised crown on band. I wear it regularly, 5-10 days monthly. Serviced 7-8 years ago in NY at Rolex. At that time they suggested some work on the band that I deferred. About 20 years ago a rivet came out while wearing immediately after service. Luckily, the watch didn't fall but was sent back to NY to repair. Now they are telling me the band needs some overhaul, more than just polish, but I hate to loose a good deal of gold with major work and subsequent polish. As it's becoming highly collectible what should I do? Thank you.
