RO 15400 Screwdown Crown
Hey everyone,Haven't worn my RO 15400 for a while so I took it out today for a spin.Noticed an odd/different alignment with the screw down crown. I'm not sure if I'm over analyzing or simply didn't tighten it fully in all my previous usage but has anyone had the same experience where the screw down position of the crown changed?PS: I do know the AP logo doesn't line up on the 15400. Nor is the crown typically flush.First image I took a few months ago which is the position I'm use to. Every time I adjust the time, wind the watch, etc. and then screw down the crown it ends up in this position. However, the full screw down position of the watch changed today in the second image. I've unscrewed and adjusted the crown several times and appears the full screw down position is in this new position.Thoughts? Everything seems to be running normally. Am I going crazy? HahahahaThe watch is two years old and shouldn't require a service.
AP Diver on Bracelet
I have heard of but not seen a Diver on a Bracelet.. Anyone have pics?
Thoughts on the P2004?
Over the last 5 years I've had two different 311's. I loved that model. I must have right, I bought two. But the same issue made me sell them both. Reliability! Both of them had several service issues that upset me. You can see very detail posts over at Paneristi using the same handle as I have here. I was just wondering what others people thoughts and experiences were with the P2004 plus its variants. My issues currently, I love the seconds reset feature, titanium weight is huge for me plus the 12 hour GMT. I was considering the 233 but I really didn't want a ss model as I have a AP 15710 diver and missed my Panerai's but wanted something lighter. The domed crystal is a non factor for me as I like it a lot but when I had a 351 the way that looked in certain lighting the two types were a wash in terms of likability. PAM 104 Advice
Hello,I'm new to the forum and have enjoyed reading many of the posts. I have a friend who over to sell me his PAM 104. I believe its a 2007 model. As you can see in the picture the crown guard is missing and I would like to have it replaced with an original one. He is willing to sell the PAM 104 with the rubber band and deployment buckle for $2,500. I was thinking that a new replacement crown guard and service would run me another $1000-$1500. IS that an accurate guess. Does anybody know what an OEM crown guard costs? All I have been able to find are replicas on eBay. Thanks in advance for your help.
Sell the 16600 for the BLNR?
Hey guys.So the BLNR is my absolute grail watch. I currently own the 16600 SD and 16570 EXP II (which I will most likely never sell because it's my birth year). I have been thinking of trading the 16600 up to the BLNR, or selling it cash and buying a BLNR.I know the saying is don't flip just add in this forum. But currently I do not have the means to add, and I don't know if I will have the means to add a third Rolex in the foreseeable future. (I'm not in need of $. My savings must go toward other investments and I prefer a 2 watch collection)Pros about the SD that make me want to keep it:-When it was in production, it was rarely sold over the sub which in my eyes gives it more character it more valuable in the future (just my opinion)- M serial which means as far as I know it was produced in the final year of pre ceramic.- potential collector piece? (Just a hunch, not a fact)Pros about the BLNR:- it's my favourite attainable Rolex lolWhat would you do?Sent from my iPhone using Tapat
