Menage Of Corum Skull Watches For Halloween
Halloween is my favorite childhood holiday for good reason; it attempts to imbue fantasy with reality for at least one day. And it is perfectly legitimate to do so. That is why I have been tempted on so many occasions to spend hundreds on fancy costumes.Likewise, Corum knows how to imbue a healthy amount of fantasy in their watches and make them perfectly legitimate luxury timepieces. Corum has released a number of interesting and high quality watches (many of them limited editions) over the years. For whatever reason, a large number of them have features a skull and other parts of a skeleton. They aren't spooky per se, but they are certainly avant garde and not for everyone. They are certainly for me though, and I love these mostly limited edition watches from Corum.Most of these watches are based on the Corum Bubble watch, with its tall domed sapphire crystals, and rounded shaped. Thoughts on AP Perpetual Calendar Platinum??
Gentlemen and Ladies,Been lurking on the forums for some time, but breaking out with my first post. I've been seriously considering a new (used) AP Perpetual Calendar in platinum. The openworked platy perp is a grail of mine, but still beyond what I want to pay for a watch. A version similar to this link (but not a Muhammed Ali special edition) has come up, but without papers or box. Cert of Origin can be obtained from the manufacture, and seller is willing to obtain it as part of the sale. I love the platinum, love the crystal back, love the perp calendar, but not completely convinced about the textured dial. I know its completely subjective, but what are your thoughts? For reference, current collection includes PP 5980, AP ROO Safari and JLC Master Compressor Chrono - I seem to have gravitated towards chrono sports watches. Hi all,As i am quiet new to the brand(used to be a full on Rolex guy) herewith a few PP Nautilus questions.-Is the bracelet on the 5726 the same as on the 5711?-How much thicker is the case on a 5726 then the case of a 5711?-Has the case of the 5711 the same thickness as the 5712?-Do you prefer screws or pushpins on the Nautilus bracelet?Is it difficult to adjust a pushpin Nautilus bracelet?-When do you need a one and a half link on the Nautilus bracelet?Looks a bit unsymmetrical to me.-Why is the movement 324 non hacking?As with most PP's?Tx for all your help and thanks to this amazing forum for sooooooo much great content!Aloha,Robin
