Hands-On: With The A. Lange & S?hne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Handwerkskunst (Live Pics & Pricing)
Last week, Blake brought you some of the earliest live photos of the new Lange 1 Moonphase anywhere on the net and today we're back with an early live look at another beauty from Lange C this time a real monster. ?We say that because this watch, the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar, sits very high up on the wishlist of many a Lange collector, with its innovative?self-winding perpetual calendar, and hidden tourbillon with patented stop-seconds. But this is the special "Handwerkskunst," or hand-worked, version of this mega-watch, and I got the chance to see it in the metal just this morning in Palm Beach, at Lange's only North American boutique. 2 OF 20 This is the second benchmark Lange to receive the Handwerkskunst treatment C the first was the white gold Zeitwerk, which, one year ago to the day,?we published live photos of here. The solid white gold dial is completely hand decorated, using a rare combination of tremblage and relief engraving. The result is just rema
Settling back into Panerai!
It's been some time since I've had a Panerai in the stable, now over the course of two weeks I have two! The first piece I acquired is the 438. I've always loved the look of the fully blacked out case and bracelet, and being constructed from ceramic, will hold its finish and look great for a long time to come! Fast forward to today, the most recent acquisition, the 368! This piece blew me away when I first held it in my hands! 8 day manual wind lefty, with PR indicator on the back and the brown dial with gold hands really sets this model off. The strap it came on is thick and rugged, yet soft and form fitting. Very comfortable, and along with the titanium case makes this a very wearable piece. The 368 is rapidly becoming my favorite Panerai! The domed sapphire is beautiful! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Going to pick up my first Panerai this week!
I have had a 111 on my radar for years now and I am going to the store here in NYC to do a little shopping this week.I'm 99 percent sure I am going to go with the 111 but wanted to get some thoughts on some other models to try on while I'm there.I really like the dials that fall on the simpler side but if there are things like better movement inside etc I don't mind spending a little more. Thanks so much for your thoughts!
16600 vs 114060
Long story short Someone offered to straight up trade me a 2015 114060 for my M serial 16600. Fave aspects of both:Modern style / classic proportions for the SDmaxi and ceramic for the NDWhat would you do!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do you name your watch?
I am one of those guys that gives things names. If it has a motor it gets a name. Other things I own that have a special place in my heart might get named as well. For example, specific golf clubs, those things that go bang that we can't talk about, my Big Green Egg, etc. Anyway, does anyone name their watches? Mine Sub is Lexie and my DJII is Rhonda.
