Hublot Chosen as Swiss Watch Partner for World Expo 2012
Hublot has announced that it has been selected by Presence Switzerland in the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) to be the watch partner of the Swiss Pavilion at the World Expo 2012, which will take place over 3 months, between 12th May and 12th August 2012, in the South Korean coastal city of Yeosu. Having already partnered in the “Sommet de la Francophonie” French language summit in Montreux 2010, the FDFA and Hublot are continuing their collaboration, this time to help promote Switzerland on an international scale.“It is an immense privilege to work with the Confederation to promote Switzerland to the entire world,” said Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot. “It is the greatest of honors and I would like to recognize and pay tribute to the teams who are working in Bern every day to spread the values of our country. Their work is incredible and highly worthwhile, and I promise that Hublot will once again live up to their ambitions.”
Why There Is No Best Watch And How I Don't Have A Favorite Timepiece
Choose just one watch forever? Why?I am sorry to disappoint the superlative loving masses but there is no one best watch and I regret to inform you that I don't have a standout favorite timepiece or watch brand. Here is why, and this gets philosophical at first...The topic of what one does for a living is a natural query in social conversation and few people respond with the answer of "I write about watches" (or whatever description I feel to offer at the moment of what I feel is a less than straightfo
AP Equation of Time Royal Oak - mechanical issues???
I heard from one of my sources at AP that the AP Equation of Time Royal Oak has had many mechanical issues and that I should perhaps reconsider before purchasing one.Anyone have any thoughts on this?? Thanks much!
Snap! And Im in!
Lots of mixed opinions today, but I was delighted I have to say. This was already on my wrist today, and one day soon (hopefully) the new model will join the team :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Alternatives to the Daytona
Can anyone suggest an alternative to the Daytona? Please don't give me grief but I am finding it on the small side... I'm on my third and each time the initial thrill is amazing but then the same thought returns, if only it was a little bigger, 42mm would be perfect. The sub and gmt are 40 but they wear bigger, why does the Daytona look so small? No Omega Speedmaster professional as I want an automatic, the other speedmasters are way too thick!Don't want to spend crazy money so under 5k
