Memorigin Transformers Tourbillon Watches With Optimus Prime Or Bumblebee
This is the limited edition Memorigin Transformers Tourbillon watch collection. First there was the Memorigin Batman The Dark Knight Rises Tourbillon, the Memorigin Superman Tourbillon, and now we get a tourbillon-equipped watch with either Optimus Prime or Bumblebee.Memorigin is a Hong Kong-based watchmaker which exists as part of the emerging "high-end Chinese watch" category that watches-dealer has been covering for the last two years or so. While China is ground zero for the world's inexpensive watches, they have a growing "high-end" timepieces segment as well. Most of these more interesting Chinese mechanical watches are made by China for China, some of them are slowly seeing their way to other parts of Asia, Europe, and the United States. With the visage of Transformer Optimus Prime or Bumblebee on the dial, it is arguably easy to scoff at the themes presented here which are then combined with a tourbillon. Then again, these aren't $100,000 watches or anything close to that. No, a
Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5980 Watch
New Patek Philippe watches for 2010 didn't exactly make me jump for joy, but I did like the two new additions to the Nautilus collection. No new movements, but new implementations in the Nautilus cases. Here is the Nautilus Chronograph (ref. 5980 in steel and 5980R in gold), and I also liked the Nautilus Annual Calendar Ref. 5726 that I wrote about here. What I like about the layout of the Patek Philippe Caliber CH 280520 C is that is it is a 12 hour chronograph that looks like a watch with only a subsidiary seconds dial (more or less) - and is still easy to read. Pretty nice looking addition to Patek's sport watch collection.See my article on the Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph watch on AskMenwatches-dealer here.See Patek Philippe watches on eBay here.See Patek Philippe watches on Amazon here. Introducing: The Longines Railroad
The Longines Heritage collection is a veritable treasure trove of wonderful (and, usually, eminently affordable) watches based on Longine's historical production, and for 2016 the family has a new member. Say hello to the Longines Railroad, a watch based on "railroad grade" watches made for the rail service in the 1960s. 1 OF 4 Above, you can see the original Longines railroad pocket watch from the 1960s. The number 280 on the dial refers to the Longines hand-wound caliber 280, an in-house, high grade movement suitable for the demands of usage in the rail service. The term "railroad grade" refers to watches approved for use by train crews and while most of us are used to seeing the term applied to rail service watches pocket watches from brands like Elgin, Waltham, Howard, and yes, Longines (which made railroad service watches including the USA, Canada, and China among others) in fact wristwatches could be approved by time inspection bureaus as well. According to an inter
Hands-On: With The Rolex Oyster Perpetual In 36 MM
This week I am taking it back to basics with the Rolex 36 mm Oyster Perpetual. Earlier in the year, we reviewed the new 39mm Oyster Perpetual released at Baselworld 2015, so I decided to review the smaller 36 mm women's version that was released in 2014. 1 OF 9 Despite encountering (and admiring) a number of Rolex wristwatches throughout my career, I have personally never owned a Rolex. The only time I have spent some serious QT with one was when my mom lent me her ladies' Yachtmaster with a 35 mm case for a few months. I remember loving the way it felt and how sporty it was. I was happy to have the same familiar feeling when I slipped on the 36 mm Oyster Perpetual, which was released in 2014 along with a 31 mm version. 2 OF 9 First of all, the watch fits like glove. Heavy without weighing your arm down, this puppy is sturdy and built to last for a long time. The 904L steel Oyster bracelet and Oysterlock clasp are classic and continue to show that Ro
Lol
I thought this might be a funny video for you guys to see, if the deployant clasp digs into his wrist bone it's because the strap is too big for him and he needs a smaller one, had the same issue with my 5726, once I had the small strap it was fine, and that's a watch expert? enjoy https://.youtube/watch?v=_fciKfQb1vk
