Watches NEWS
I got the disease need help with the diagnostic JLC or AP.
Hi Guys,Not trying to double post but I did post this earlier today on the non-rolex forum section and someone suggested I post here as well.Seeking some feedback and opinions. I currently own a JLC Master Compressor Navy Seal and a JLC Master compressor chrono 2, I feel the need for some change as both of my watches are different in some aspect but also similar in others.I was thinking of parting with the Navy Seal and replace it with a AP ROO Diver. What do you guys think, am I crazy or was I just got the AP disease ?Cheers
Closest AD to Minneapolis?
So this one should be easy for you US guys I will be traveling to Minnesota in the near future and considering picking up an AP Dual Time if the price is right. Looked at the AP web site but since I'm not an American I can't easily make out which AD is closest.Alternatively, if someone can recommend an AD you think is trustworthy and competent and not least open to a good discount, I wouldn't mind purchasing over the phone and have it shipped to my hotel in Minneapolis. So recommendations are much appreciated. Feel free to shoot a PM if you prefer. Thanks!
Help purchasing SeaMaster Pro
This looks like an awesome forum and I hope to get more involved. I am looking to make my first luxury watch purchase and have narrowed my search down to a Rolex Submariner or the Omega Seamaster Professional. The Rolex is a little more than I want to spend right now but will revisit in the future. That being said I have been looking for a gently pre-owned 2531.80, 2220.80, or 212.30.41.20.03.001. I am new to this so my first question is what should I be looking for? Is Box and papers the best way? Is it really safe to buy from the forums as someone has suggested?I was going through the awards offers available on my Amex and there was on offer for a $450 statement credit on a $1500 purchase from Gray and Sons in Miami. They have a watch that fits the bill but at $3300 seems very high. I contacted them and they are willing to reduce to $2950 so with the statement credit that's $2500. Is that reasonable? I haven't spoken to them yet so I am not sure what the watch comes with other
Platinum model pricing and availability
Just wondering whether or not platinum Patek models are a more limited in supply compared to other precious metals/stainless, and whether there is more flexibility in pricing similar to Rolex (I've been offered various platinum Rolex models at 30%+ off MSRP).The reason I'm curious is that I've been offered what I think is a nice price on a platinum Patek (5196p), when I was really in the market for white gold. However, if these models are more collectible, I might try to negotiate a bit more and stretch the wallet for platinum. Thanks for any input.
Panerai Straps
I'm new to the Panerisiti community, I got my 563 about a week ago now, and consequently new to the strap game. What is everyone's favorite or vendor of choice for a new strap? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
