Max Bill By Junghans Watches For 2010
The "Max Bill watch" as it is known is one of the 20th Century's most famous watch designs. Clearly conceived by designer and architect Max Bill in Switzerland, the watch was a staple of goodness back when it was originally made in the 1960s. Since then you could buy versions of the watch in its pure form as made by German Junghans (who has many of their movements made by Seiko). For 2010 Junghans offers up a more modern, but still retro version of this retro classic. There are three versions of the watches and most exciting is their more modern dimensions (save for the still small manually wound version). The Max Bill watch is what you can call "concrete Bauhaus." I think this term neatly applies to the combo of Bauhaus design with a modern touch that evokes the beginnings of modern architecture from the 1950s and 1960s. Many of these architectural designs that I refer to may look a bit dated by today's standards, but the best pieces from this era both structures and items (like this w

Hey guys, would you trade a random serial, March 2015, complete kit, SS 116520 black dial for an AP diver I serial? The AP has papers but no box. Would you trade straight? Would you add money on top of the daytona? Would you not trade? Appreciate some opinions and thoughts! Never owned an AP before...

Speedmaster Patina
I've got a standard 3570.50 caliber 1861 Speedmaster I bought at an AD a couple years ago.I was wondering, as the watch ages, will the hour markers on the dial ever start to go patina? Or is that an effect that you only get with the older-style watches?Or another way of asking it, did OMEGA change anything on the newer models that would prevent the hour markers from aging to a patina? Thanks!
ID Vintage Ladies Omega Model Please
One our wedding day, my wife inherited an 18K white gold Omega owned by her deceased mother. The watch had been kept locked in a safe for more than 12 years. The safe was installed in the floor of the house, and after it was opened, it was discovered that the safe had been flooded some time in the previous 12 years. The watch was taken to a local watchmaker, who was able to clean it up, install a vintage Omega movement, and acrylic crystal. He stated that he had the movement and parts on hand because some people are selling the watches to his partner the jeweler, for gold content, and he is able to save the movements, crystals etc. He also stated that although the movement differed slightly from original, it fit perfectly. The Omega logo, as well as any other markings on the dial were lost. We are happy to have the watch not only looking good, but also working again.Does anyone have any idea as to the model name or number and a possible date of manufacture. The back and bracele
