Uniform Wares 200 & 300 Series Watches
Designed in London, Uniform Wares presents their second collection of timepieces with the 200 Series watches. UPDATE: Just when I was about to publish this article I learned that Uniform Wares also announced an upcoming 300 pieces Chronograph watch. The collection is based on the design on wall clocks (clearly), with a case that enhances this look featuring a lugless design. In the spirit of pieces such as the Mondaine Swiss Railways watch and the famous Max Bill watches, this functional minimalist design is a modern Bauhaus style classic and arrives with a reasonable price. Looking at the collections side by side (you can see their 100 Series watches here), the 100 Series pieces feel like women or kid version of the 200 Series watches. U-Boat U-1942 Limited Edition Watch: Giant Retro Italian Diver
Apparently based on a never actually made design from 1942, the limited edition U-Boat U-1942 watch is an Italian blast from the past. The story goes that the Italian Navy commissioned a special watch to be made, but it never made production. This U-1942 watch is based directly on that design - and it is really sharp looking. The oddest part of the watch is of course the crown. It extends out.. maybe too far.? It is kind of silly and phallic to be honest. I mean it works, and looks cool, but you know.Lets just say that it looks like a periscope...yea that's it. The crown is meant to have a functional use though. The idea is that it is meant to be easy to use with gloves. Easy to use meaning winding it and adjusting it. Not sure how easy it will be to release the crown while in the locked position with gloves though, but probably pretty simple. Further, I believe that the crown can be adjusted and wound underwaterwhich should be nice.The watch is big! Really big with a grade 5 titanium

Omega Speedmaster should the large second hand always be running?
Hello, I have finally decided on the Speedmaster, 38mm. Could someone tell me if the large second hand should always be activated or only running when you are using the chronograph to time something. I have heard that you should only run the large second hand when you are time something but I have also heard it doesn't matter and running the large second hand all the time will not harm the watch. Thank you all for your assistance

Recently took some fresh pictures of my '67 Speedie Pro Cal 321 with red chrono hand (inherited it that way). Hope y'all enjoy! LOVE the Tritium patina, cracked hands and all...The plexi is a massive dust magnet. The more I wipe it clean, the more static cling it seemed to develop!But NOTHING is sexier than plexi...Etched Omega logo on center of plexi (very tough to photograph!)Was difficult getting this display back that does NOT say First and only watch...This is my fav Cal.321 manual wind pic:Another instance of a red handed speedy pro -- from the 1971 Return of Ultraman, Episode 8: Monster Time Bomb. Rolex have REDUCED some prices!!
Well they've certainly dropped the price of both the WG GMT and the WG Sub' in the UK.....Does anyone know of any other reductions????
