Timex Intelligent Quartz Linear Chronographs
As any watch nerd knows, TImex is one of those brands that reliably drops fun, unexpected and altogether affordable watches on a regular basis. The last time we brought them up was when we had a hands-on with the Expedition Military Field, which to this day offers perhaps the best style:price ratio out there. Stepping up quite a bit in price for Timex, though still in the very affordable range in terms of watches, is the Intelligent Quartz series. These watches are particularly cool as they offer interesting functionality, from altimeters to compasses to retrograde chronographs, and still have pretty decent looks. Help/ opinions sought recent FOIS Speedmaster
All,Just looking for opinions and advice please.Bought a new First Omega In Space (FOIS) Speedmaster brand new via mail order from a reputable small chain of UK Jewellers.The watch arrived yesterday, perfectly packaged and all looked fine until I put the watch on and I can clearly see the difference in colour between the 2 leather sides of the strap. Also, both sides are darker brown near the buckle end. It really does look like the watch has been in a shop window for some significant period of time and the strap has faded in the sunlight. I'm planning a purchase in December on a trip in the US. So I got in touch with a large and well know US AD I've purchased from several times and they have informed me that the 233 has been discontinued. Just an FYI.... Question on a "collectors" piece.
I am graciously falling into a collectors unworn piece from 2004. I think I should buy one similar to it and hold on to the collector and keep it for posterity. Am I being anal or is it normal? I hate to wear it and muck it up when I could easily hold on to it and have a museum piece to keep for a while. Your thoughts?
