Pebble Returns to Kickstarter with the Pebble Time
Pebble, the company that brought us the first truly usable smartwatch back in mid-2012, is back with another Kickstarter campaign for their next model, the Pebble Time. By way of a reminder, the first Pebble raised over $10 million on Kickstarter after initially seeking $100,000. Some 68,929 people pledged money to the project and as of the end of 2014 Pebble had sold a million of its cross platform smartwatch. We reviewed the Pebble and in its earlier state found it to be a good but not great watch. The Pebble Time is again available via the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. They have updated almost every aspect of the watch. The case is now more rounded than the original and has a slight curve to it so as to fit the wrist. The case appears to be a bit wider than the original and has rounded corners to give it a slightly less boxy appearance. They also upgraded the bezel to make it PVD stainless steel over the plastic case. The Pebble Time is thinner than the original, which along wit
Patek 570 Questions
Like many, I love this watch. But I'm having a hard time finding information about the different versions of this reference. What's more valuable? The small seconds version or the sweeping seconds version? I also regularly see two versions of the small seconds version. Is one more desired than the other? Please feel free to include information not pertaining to these questions. I'm curious about this watch and would love to learn more. Thanks in advance!!
Weight of SS Nautilus after wearing Rolex
Seriously considering a SS Nautilus, probably a 5712, and wondering if one of the things that is drawing me to add a Patek vs another Rolex, the light weight, will ultimately feel too light. The watch seems to have lots of presence, and the comfort is a plus, but will the clasp feel too small, etc. I'm probably over thinking this (as usual) but what are your thoughts? I know many of you go back and forth from PP to Rolex regularly.
If you had 2k laying around what watch would you buy
Need some advice for a possible next purchase. So I have been content being a one watch guy, but I would love having one more. Some things in life led me to that and no regrets could not be happier. Don't get me wrong love my Sub C date, but sometimes I get the itch for another fine piece. I had a good year at work and got a very nice bonus. After putting some in saving, adding to kids college funds etc I have a little that I could possibly play with. A lot of you guys know tons about watches and one reason I love this forum. If you had 2k what would you buy? Here are some parameters.White or blue dial Looks good on a brown or blue strap. I could possibly bump up to 2500 but ideal would like to be 1500-1700 especially preowned and need some cash for a service etc. I have always liked the Omega Aqua Terra's and some models might fall into my price range. Maybe a preowned Tudor? What else is out there? My biggest fear is trying to get something in that price range that is good q
