Greubel Forsey Invention Piece 2
Greubel Forsey indulges in variations on their unique horological themes. These variations are the Invention Pieces. In 2007, IP1 celebrated the Double Tourbillon 30��, and in 2009 IP3 paid homage to the Tourbillon 24 Secondes. This year tribute is paid to the Quadruple Tourbillon in the form of the IP2, recasting the original’s innovative mechanism in a completely new movement. The IP2 movement is comprised of 594 components housed in a 43.5 mm diameter asymmetrical case. Two double tourbillons are presented head-to-tail, allowing the mechanisms to be appreciated from all angles through front and back sapphire crystals and a lateral window. The two double tourbillon systems are coupled via a spherical differential in the center of the timepiece. Hours and minutes are indicated by a red triangle and a rotating disk on a sub-dial at 5 o'clock, which conceals the triple coaxial mainspring barrels. Hamilton Watches Open Up Their New Movement
I've been a fan of the Hamilton Jazzmaster line for some time now, and have appreciated some of the open-heart dials they've created in the past. Their latest (the Viewmatic Skeleton), though, is truly a skeleton watch, not just a dial with some cut out pieces of metal.That's because the Jazzmaster Viewmatic Skeleton watches (yes, this is a his-n-her's release) were designed with the intent of showing off their new H-20-S automatic movement. There's very little in the way of you seeing the actual moving parts at work, and the movement itself has cutouts and finishing (laser-engraved) that lets you know the movement was meant to be seen.Of the two models, I think the women's one may be the more legible of the two - though I'd be concerned about losing the polished hands against the white dial. Thankfully, Hamilton avoided the "easy way out" with this dial, and didn't include any heart-shaped cut outs or extraneous sparkles (gems or otherwise) on the dial. Just several overlapping circle

Ceramic diver getting rare
With all the black ceramic diver incomings and the fact it's being discontinued it seems to get harder to find, on chrono24 there are just 3 on sale, 1 in the US, 1 in Hong Kong and 1 but used in Denmark, there are more white ones though but I would not get a white one, except if having a large collection and wanting to add a fun watch for weekends and holidays.I could be wrong but I have a feeling the black ceramic diver is going to become a highly collectable piece, like the 15300 and other pieces, I mean it seems to have been made at less than 600 pieces, mine is around 550 and I just got it, so the final number should be around 600 which is very limited and much more limited than some limited editions.Plus the fact that it' a really cool watch seems to me all the makings for a very collectable piece, with the 44mm ceramic ROO's it's definitely the coolest ceramic piece around, all the other ceramic watches I've seen, Pam 335, Omega DSOTM and a few others are no where near as cool a

Learning to dive...
Hi guys, my first thread in the AP forum! I'm a long time AP fan who lusted after a white faced ROO chronograph back in 2005, and when I looked again they had jumped up in price too far for my taste. Given the list price is now ��18k I wiped the thought of AP from my mind... until I wandered into this forum one fateful day and found the Diver Appreciation Thread! Wow! An amazing looking watch which didn't just sing to me it ORCHESTRATED!!! So I started reading and learning more about the watch and the amazing 3120 movement and suddenly I realise, I'm in love! This is bad news given that I just bought 2 watches already this year and told the wife I was now done! Needless to say the hearts and minds work has begun. In the interim I thought I better go and try it on in the metal. All I can say is wowed! My son was smitten too, and said I need the FC too! Anyway, enough words, enjoy some pics of my fact finding mission, and if I'm lucky I'll be the ecstatic author of an Incoming thread soon
