Watches NEWS
Introducing: The TAG Heuer Connected Smartwatch
We all knew it was coming, we just didn't know in what form. Today in New York City, TAG Heuer CEO Jean-Claude Biver introduced the brand's very first connected wristwatch. The TAG Heuer Connected is a 46 mm watch that looks very much like the new mechanical Carrera with Caliber 01 inside, but instead of a self-winding, Swiss-made movement, we have a Google-powered operating system. 1 OF 6 The watch takes the shape of a modern TAG Carrera, with a 46 mm case made of grade 2 titanium, complete with titanium deployant buckle. The stock black rubber strap may be swapped to a host of different colors, and the watch looks and feels very much like any TAG. However, there are no chronograph pushers here, just one crown that acts as the control center for the connected timepiece. 2 OF 6 The watch features three different TAG Heuer faces – a true chronograph, a three hander, and a GMT – and the chronograph works by tapping the screen once to start

BUS Service
Decided to comply with the 5 yr + 2 yr Navitimer 01 warranty requirement of sending my watch in for its 2 year service.I was expecting to pay $220 as per their website. Turns out it's free. They found my watch to have low amplitude.Moral:That if it's OK don't service it mindset may not always be prudent. I may have diverted near future movement major issues by accepting a possible $220 tab. As it turns out, only incurred the $37 cost of shipping via registered mail.Projected turnaround delivery is under 4 four weeks from when I sent it in.
Am I the only one who likes the cal 324 rotor noise?
Recently picked up an aquanaut while Waiting for the nautilus and noticed the zipping sound of the rotor. It kind of reminds me of the 7750 movements where you can feel the rotor spinning. I can actually feel the rotor a little on the 5167, too, if I pay close attention.I like it as it makes the watch feel alive, if that makes sense.Anyone here share the sentiment? I guess the 5711 has it too, as it shares the same movement? Some pics of the 5167': (as I know you guys like pics)
