Breguet Reine de Naples with Hour-Strike Ladies Watch
Please enjoy the original article below by established watch writer Meehna Goldsmith. From magazines to the freer writing form of the web, she is a knowledgeable watch junkie who knows high-end pieces. She contributes to publications such as Robb Report, International Watch, and Watch Journal, among others. You can visit her on her website meehnagoldsmithwatches-dealer.In the history of watchmaking, the name Breguet is a hallowed one. Abraham-Louis Breguet, who established his eponymous company in 1775, is single-handedly responsible for many of the major horological innovations of the last two-plus centuries, including the Breguet overcoil, tourbillon, keyless works and automatic winding. Even more impressive is that those innovations are still employed today, over 200 years after their introduction. That company Breguet founded has operated virtually uninterrupted since its inception, but by 1999, after several ownership changes, the brand was languishing. luxurious Corum Skylight Skeleton Watch
This beautiful watch is the Corum Skylight Skeleton. Sandwiched between a sapphire crystal there is a mechanical 18kt gold movement with skeletonized and hand-engraved components. The elegantly curved watch is available in a limited edition of 100 pieces of white gold and 40 pieces of rose gold both with and without diamonds. What I like best about this watch is that it lets you see the movement at work and yet the ability to quickly read what time it is has not been compromised.
MKII Nassau Review
MKII is a bit of an anomaly in the watch world. Their watches are immediate cult favorites, they base their designs largely if not entirely on classic designs from military and tool watches from the 50's, 60's and 70's and they are basically a company of one. MKII is the project of Bill Yao, a perfectionist with an eye for the details and obsessive dedication to quality and execution. In hand, a MKII has the feel of a watch worth much more. These are not just dials and movements and cases put together and sold, each piece is carefully designed, assembled, examined and tested. They are all built with top quality components, and though their prices reflect this all, they are not outrageously priced.Case: 316L SteelMovement: ETA 2836-2Dial: BlackLume: YesLens: SapphireStrap: BraceletWater Res.: 200mDimensions: 39.2 x 47.95mmThickness: 14.5 mmLug Width: 20 mmCrown: 7 x 4 mm screw downWeight: 144g on bracelet (our measure)Warranty: yesPrice: $895.00MKII's most recent release, the Nassau, is
A Week On The Wrist: The Tudor Heritage Black Bay Reference 7922R
Wearing the Tudor Black Bay for a week has been an extremely interesting experience – this is actually the first watch I’ve ever had in for review where the crown tube was the key to understanding the appeal of the watch as a whole. Strange but true, I found the crown tube enchanting, compelling, and even romantic – and thereby hangs a tale. 1 OF 14 It’s one that, as we related when we first viewed the watch in 2012 and reported back to you on it, began many years ago when the first Tudor Submariner diver’s watches were released all the way back in 1954 (hot on the heels of the better remembered Rolex Sub and Blancpain 50 Fathoms; it seems unfair given its early birth date that the Tudor Sub isn’t more frequently mentioned in the same breath as the other two, as a pioneering diver's watch, but life is nothing if not unfair). Anyway, that watch inspired many elements of today’s Black Bay – the configuration of the lume pl
