It's been roughly two and a half months since I've come into owning the Forged Carbon Diver from Audemars Piguet. It's usually at the two month mark that I feel like I've really gotten to know my watches so I've become accustomed to thinking about and writing about my pieces critically at this point in my ownership (although I needed the extra two weeks or so to get my ass around to writing). This particular watch, affectionately known as the Diver Bee , has become a favorite in my collection, and below I will explain why. First, some background: This is actually my second Diver. I purchased my original Stainless Steel Diver in May of 2012. As many on this forum have come to find, it's a particularly loveable watch. Found a nice 8 minute video where Thierry Stern explains the different minute repeaters and the best metals to use, RG being the best it seems, which is logical since they made the Grand Master Chime from RG and not another metal, personally if I had the possibility, I would love to get the 5213, it's only in WG, has of course MR, PC retrograde and moon phase, plus officer case back and a modern size, 39,5mm if I am correct, it is IMHO the best minute repeater, there are other great ones but in terms of size this is the one that would be the best for me, unfortunately apart from winning the Lottery there is no chance I would ever get one...Enjoy https://.youtube/watch?v=GVGxqxaivo8
