Auction Watch: Sothebys April Auction Shows Tepid Results, But Doesnt Lose Ground
The following timepiece auction analysis post is by Chris Meisenzahl. He is a long-time watch enthusiast and daily Speedmaster Pro wearer. This auction offered a great number of items that are interesting for various reasons: antique clocks, dress watches, and some sporty models. Let's take a look at a few of the pieces available. After flipping through the list one of the first to catch my eye was lot #116, a 2005 Zenith from the Thierry Nataf era. The watch is a titanium automatic diver's chronograph from 2005. Sometimes when I wonder if Nataf's regime was real or a dream, I see a piece like this and remember. hi all..guys I have a few questions regarding Omega Speedmaster movements...the hand-wound ones..1). when was the Lemania movement stopped being used?..or which last year had them and whether any limited editions or any special editions still carry them at times?2). which movement replaced Lemania movement and what are the major differences?..the Lemania is such a covetted movement then is the new onw living up to the name?thnx in advance.
Can someone advise on this Patek
I am not really interested in this watch unless I can get it cheap, but what the heck is the seller getting at with the way he describes it.....or is it me. How was this converted? What model is this thing and do you think it's real. With all that said you can guess it's an eBay listing....231805966288Thanks
90 Day Review
90 Day ReviewThree months ago I bought my first Rolex, a new 126333 or more descriptively the 41DJ fluted two tone with a silver sticks dial and the new 3235 movement with a 70 hour power reserve. It’s a modern classic DateJust look that together with the dressier jubilee bracelet will compliment almost any long sleeve.I took of all of the stickers off and learned how to adjust the bracelet myself with a spring-bar tool and give it a nice comfortable fit....And what I appreciate is the style and quality of this watch as both men’s jewelry and the utility of a good time piece that doesn’t need to be fussed-with much. Then finally I’m a fan of using the date window and not struggling to remember the date every day.Do you feel the same way?
Incoming.... Please don't laugh.
So after a two month absence, I decided to re-acquire the blue Milgauss. I missed it like crazy!! It's a keeper for sure! (At least until my blue SkyD comes in next month).......Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
