New Piece!
This arrived today!!! Another great transaction with DavidSW. I follow Rolex more than Omega and this piece only came on my radar last week. Haven't bought an Omega in 10 years, but I couldn't pass this one up. Love the Vintage look with the modern technology. No complaints so far. I wasn't sure what I was going to think of the PCL's, but since I also have a Sub I like the change.
I am looking to get a birth year watch.....
From 1958.And have been scouring all the usual haunts!I was made aware of the site below and would appreciate any feed back on the two pieces from the aforementioned year. One is an Omega Seamaster Calendar Gold 1958 priced at ?730.00 .allvintagewatches/vin...dar-gold-1958/And the other is an Omega Seamaster Automatic 14k Gold Filled 1958 priced at ?930.00.allvintagewatches/vin...k-gold-filled/
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 2007 Mfg.
Gentlemen:Although new to this forum I am not new to watch collecting.I have recently picked up a PO from 2007. I noticed that it does not have the little round logo on the case back, next to Ocean. Did some search on the Internet and noticed a few others from 2007 that are similar in this respect. Can you offer any insight as to why some have it and others do not?T.I.A.
For the wife, what would you do?
So for Christmas, I am giving her either a BNIB SD43 just got today or a stickered Black Ceramic Daytona I’ve worn for a few hours.I already bought both. Not sure which one to give her, the honest truth is, not sure which one I want to keep! She doesn’t know I have either. She doesn’t share her watches so whatever I give her I will never have an opportunity to wear. She currently wears Panerai so she really likes the bigger face watches. SD43 Helium Valve Question???
On the Rolex website, there is a picture of the SD43 with a helium bubble seeping out from the escapement valve - nothing wrong with that, it actually looks quite cool. However, I also noticed, the picture seems to show another gas bubble seeping out of the case back!Is this correct?Would gas escape from both the escapement valve AND the case back?If so, what's the point of the escapement valve in the first place if gas can escape through the case back anyway?Any thoughts...???
