Couple questions about AP
About to buy my first AP from a grey dealer. It's a 15400I have been sent me pictures of the warranty, etc, but I just want to make sure they are valid for the actual watch. So my questions are:1. What format should the Warranty Number be in? 3000-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX? Or XXXXXX.XXXX? I've seen both on the classified forum associated with 15400s for sale so I'm a bit confused.2. What format should the Movement Number be in? 2 letters followed by 4 numbers or 6 numbers?3. I've read on here that the warranty isn't transferable to a new owner if the watch has been registered. Is that correct and if so, how do I find out if it's been registered?Thank you so much for this information, as I am new to the brand I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing.

Man this is a BIG watch!!! Beutifull too :D
Which of these would you suggest? My first PP and second watch.
Hey guys.I hope everything is having/has had a great day.New on this Forum, and actually I must say I am so glad to have found this place.Just to help you give me your opinion.I am 25 years old. It's very hot where I live most of the year, and I am wearing shorts very often.I do wear jeans/pants and a shirt every now and then, but barely ever suit up.Bought my first real watch, a rolex BLNR a few months ago, and I absolutely love it. It works for all occasions, and can be dressed up or down. Also a great beater, and basically an amazing watch all around. It will continue to be my work watch.Looking into Patek to commemorate a recent promotion, and I have been looking closely at both the 5711 or the 5167.I like both a lot, and am having a hard time in deciding which to purchase.I do like my watch to stand out a little bit, it makes me feel special. The PCL's in the Rolex are something I love a lot.Gold is out of the question as I am not a fan. What would you suggest?I really appreciate e
PP 3919 and 5119 - Production Years?
Does anyone know when the PP 3919 was produced and when the 5119 replaced it? Did the 5119 offer any significant improvements over the 3919 other than case size and display back? Thanks.
Advice on how to buy a Patek
Hello,I am looking to buy a Patek for myself fairly soon... probably a ?20k-?30k model depending which model I decide to go for, deciding between the more dressy sans-complication, calatrava or a slightly less elegant, but more exciting annual calendar.I saw that a couple of retailers can sell to me tax-free (20% VAT taken off) so long as I am having it shipped to an address in Switzerland, which I could do... though it would be a hassle as I live and work in London! Alternatively Watches of Switzerland offer interest free finance for up to 3yrs... which on a ?20k watch is quite valuable and is more convenient for me. I always buy my Rolexes in the 2nd hand market, but the market doesn't seem to be so big for Patek... not the newer models in any case, and the discounts are not even that great. As such I'm looking for advice of the best way to purchase a Patek, go for the VAT-free way, take interest free credit or try and sit it out for a used deal to come up... or indeed any other solut
