Edox Grand Ocean Automatic Chronograph Watch Review
I am happy to present you with this reader submitted review of the Edox Grand Ocean Automatic Chronograph watch. Please thank Erwin V. for not only taking the time to photograph the watch and write his thoughts about it, but also in having the passion to share his perceptions with the aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer reader community. The watch actually impressed me a lot and is from Edox's most recent watch collection for 2009. My favorite part is the very life-like porthole style window on the caseback, very cool. Check out the review below with images also by Erwin V.:"At the moment Edox is still a relatively unknown Swiss watch brand. However, they've made quite a few interesting watches during their 125 year history, for instance the 1961 Delfin watch which raised the global bar for shock protection and water resistance. Another interesting fact about Edox is that it remains an independent watch maker to this date. This adds an nice authentic touch to their products. They recently launch

Sounds great. A little big ... and expensive for me though haha 20160515_133310.jpgThis one below more my style 20160515_132004.jpg
Dodging Walls
With so much of the Royal Oak's beauty lying in its perfectly finished surfaces and facets, one must be reasonably careful to not introduce his watch to too many walls or tables. But at the same time, you've got to enjoy your watch and not sweat it too much... My question is: are there any parts of the RO that one should be particularly careful with? Parts that, if scuffed, are harder to restore come time for servicing? Or does servicing tend to eliminate just about any scuffs anywhere?
1969 Speedy - Opinions Please
Whilst my Grail watch would be a 1967 Speedy, I'm also looking for a 1969 and yesterday came across this one and wanted your opinions please. It's post moon, just and hence has what is apparently a rarer case back as I've pictured below. The dealer tells me it's totally original and I have to say that under a loupe it does look very convincing although I've a feeling the hands may have been relumed or changed but a long time ago.I'm also confused as to whether or not it should have the dot above to 90 or not? Am I right in thinking that this was a transitional year for that?I'd really appreciate your thoughts, criticisms and observations before I go and spend $6,000.Thanks.2016-01-26 16.11.28 (2).jpgP1020028.jpg
First Patek help - 5119r vs 5167
Hi allLooking to add my first Patek for my 30th birthday. Both these pieces are great. Aquanaut seems more versatile, Calatrava seems more special. Tough decision, any pointers please?CheersAnujSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
