Hublot Teams with Cigar Maker to Create King Power Arturo Fuente
Fine cigars have much in common with fine watches luxury products with romantic heritage, handmade by skilled craftsmen, appreciated by connoisseurs and now Hublot has created a timepiece that ties the two together together in a significant way the new King Power Arturo Fuente edition, developed in collaboration with one of the world’s most popular premium cigar brands. The Arturo Fuente cigar company, founded in 1912 by Cuban immigrant Arturo Fuente, Sr. in Tampa, is one of the top purveyors of hand-rolled cigars outside of Cuba, producing around 3o million cigars per year at its factory in the Dominican Republic. Corum Chronograph Tourbillon 47 Seafender: How The Admiral's Cup Lost Its Rank
My favorite family of watches in the current collection of Corum products is the Admirals' Cup. Based on a now defunct boat race, the original Admiral's Cup watch began in the 1980s and was the original yachting watch to wear on or off deck with your boating shoes and skipper cap. What has marked the Admiral's Cup collection for so long is the 12-sided case and the use of colorful boat pennant flags on the hour markers. The latter has been mostly depreciated as the colors no longer exist on most new Admiral's Cup watches. Many new Admiral's Cup watches are still rather cool. However, with watches like the Chronograph Tourbillon 47 Seafender (that in its own way is interesting) I feel like the original theme and personality of the Admiral's Cup collection has officially been thrown overboard. We actually debuted the Seafender versions of the Admiral's Cup watches when the Seafender 47 Tourbillon GMT was released in 2011. At 47mm wide, Corum decided it was fitting in the yacht watch colle

Omega Watches Will Be Officially Certified By New Swiss METAS Certification
Omega Watches Will Be Officially Certified By New Swiss METAS Certification, COSC AbandonedToday, Omega has announced some very exciting news in regard to how it will certify the performance and accuracy of their timepieces with in-house produced movements. In short, Swiss Omega watches will abandon COSC Chronometer certification in favor of a new and more comprehensive certification by the Swiss government controlled METAS agency. One major reason for this is that moving forward more and more Omega watches will contain the company's Master Co-Axial technology which includes both a unique type of escapement as well as anti-magnetic propertiesFull Article - .ablogtowatch/omega-me...certification/
