First AP Rubberclad
Once again thanks to AIS Watches for getting me my first AP. This is the watch that really got me into Audemars. It's in great condition.I anticipate wearing this watch 3x a week since I don't want to wear it to work. How do you guys recommend storing it?
Help push me over the edge!!
Very close to making a decision on the DIVER. Lets see a thread with all of your beautiful pics of this beauty. The more the better.I've been looking and looking and looking at all of the great feedback here on the forum. I wish there was still an AD near me so I could go drool over it but I know you guys will help.
Breitling for Bentley Flying B
Braved the crowds for Christmas shopping on the weekend, and happened to see a new Breitling for Bentley Flying B in a shop window. One of these:I must say, this is one rather different looking watch in the 'flesh'. My impressions after seeing photos, was one of a watch that was rather sleek, refined and worked well as a whole. However, I was very dissapointed when I actually saw the thing. It just looks really, really square, above all else.Large, ungainly and almost gaudy are other words that spring to mind. It's very attention-getting....oh...and shiny!I knew immediately what it was, even with only a quick glance. But that great hobnail style pattern. and the round dials almost dissapeared, and were overpowered by the actual case of the watch. But, these are just my first impressions. I normally like the size and heft of Breitlings, especially the more complicated ones, but this one just seemed a bit too different for my tastes.Anyone here seen one, or tried one on?
Regulation only?
Just got my speedmaster pro with cal 861 back from service done at an AD. After a couple of weeks the movement started to lose time, when I got it back from service it was gaining 2-3 sec/24h no matter of posistion. Now its losing time when at wrist, from 5-15 sec/.24h. Returned it to my AD and he told me after some measurements that it was running slow, but aplitude was just fine. After some regulation i was promised an accurate speedmaster. However, its still losing time! I made some measurements of my own and dial up is -6 sec/24h, dial down +4 sec/24h and crown up -4 sec/24h. All measurenets with fully wound mainspring. So, my question. Is this norma deviation after a complete service?
What do you think about 34mm Omegas?
I have been looking at some vintage Omegas.I really like the simplisity of a leather watch.I noticed that most of the Omegas seamaster, deville or constelations on leather strap are all about 34mm.Do Omega make larger faces???Do you think thats too small? Please share your thought....
