Orient Marks the 10th Anniversary of the Mako
The watches produced by Orient have long been known among the watch community to be well built and affordable choices. They have been producing their models since 1950 and have had several hits throughout the years. A stand-out feature of the brand is they make movements in-house, in their Japanese facilities. One of the more popular watches they have released is their Mako divers watch. It has actually been the best selling Orient ?of the past decade, since its release in 2004. Since it has been ten years since its release, Orient is celebrating the event with a new, special edition of the Mako.The Mako line is normally made up of three dial colors: black, blue and orange which are all available internationally (and a blue dial version with a splash of red on the bezel). 40 Hr Power Reserve on 15202
What have people's experiences been with the 40 hours of PR from the 15202? Specifically, from people who are coming from the standard Rolex 40 hour. Having two watches in my rotation now, 45 (Speedy) and 48 (BLNR), it was an adjustment going to those after having a daily wearer of the Omega PO 8500, which had 60. I am worried that when looking at the 15202 that, it will another adjustment going to 40. Essentially this would be my weekend watch, a spot currently occupied by the BLNR, so it's not a huge issue, but just curious. I am guessing the wear for a day, leave off for a day, and then wear again would involve some resetting and winding?

Opportunity to buy 2 pre-owned Omegas
Someone I know is selling a Seamaster Professional quartz and a Speedmaster Michael Schumacher 3519.50.00 . Both watches are a fair few years old. The Seamaster has had a recent new battery, but the bezel is faded (evenly) and has no box, just the warranty card. Otherwise in good condition. The Schumacher is fully boxed with all cards etc. Again nice condtion. I need to check the authenticity before buying so how do I go about this, and also what do you reckon would be a good deal for both watches based on the description above? I am in England.

AARRRRGGG! Frustrated with Omega service!
I am about ready to fly to NY and get my Omega back from the service center. I sent my SMP in because it kept starting and stopping. It's under warranty so I brought it into my AD and they mailed it in the first week of Dec. 2007.They called me two weeks later to tell me the watch was magnetized. How that happened I can't figure out.They informed me they are covering this under warranty and giving it a complete service while it is there, free. Great I thought as it's about $500 to have an SMP chrono serviced. I was told they are closed the week between XMas and New Years but I should expect my watch back by the second week of Jan.2008. No prblem, Great I tell them.I didn't hear from them and I called Jan. 22nd. I was told the watch was in Quality control and I should be getting it back in 7-10 days. OK, fine.Another two weeks go by..Nada. I wait and call them back Feb. 15. I am getting pissed by now. I get a call back saying they are really sorry but part of my free service I never ask
