Van Cleef & Arpels Watches At SIHH 2009 Video
One of my favorite watch makers from a novelty standpoint is Van Cleef & Arpels. There is always a little bit of magic in their watches. In the video, the current philosophy behind the brand's watches is made very clear. Essentially they admit that people need watches less today (than in the past) to tell the time, as we can rely on phones and computers. However, luxury watches are still valued for what they call "whimsical complications." To this degree, art becomes as important as function in a watch - and the degree of creativity imbued in their line up is intriguing.The first watch discussed in the video is the Van Cleef & Arpels Day in Paris watch, that I wrote about here on Luxist. A fascinating piece with a 24 hour rotating disc as the face with tells the story of a woman's day in Paris (duh). Dear AP enthusiastsi see always here in this forum only pictures from AP watches without any scratches. I wear my Rolex SDDS since almost 10 Yeras on my wrist with a lot of scratches.How look like an AP bezel with more than one scratches.....?Everyone have experiences with broken ceramic bezel? What the cost for ceramic and what is the cost for an metal bezel?Thanks for sharing your pictures with me.....

15400 vs SubC Date Size?
Question to those who own both.....how does the 15400 compare in actual 'wearable' size to the ceramic Submariner date? I know the SubC is 40mm, and the 15400 is 41mm, but I would think the Sub wears/looks larger due to the bezel and extended lugs? Any help would be great (and pictures even better)!

Pre owned under warrenty question
Morning, I am the proud owner of a pre owned I series diver that I'm told is still under warranty. Watch was originally purchased in Sept of 2014. Am I as the second owner able to send the watch into APSC and have them pressure test it and be eligible for the additional year warranty. Not sure if original owner ever registered it with AP. Also any concerns I should be looking for. Love the watch, will share wrist time with my DSSD. I'm told it is a scratch magnet, so most likely worn when I can keep my watch senses on full alert.

A 2008 model year Omega has which 2500 movement? A,B,C,D?
I was looking to purchase a brand new in box Omega 42mm on bracelet at an awesome price. I was wondering if it contains the 2500C, 2500B, or 2500D movement?Are there any particular years that Omega modified the movement?The reason I ask is because I heard the later letter codes after the movement (ex. 2500D) are more reliable and have better technology involved.Thanks!
