Incoming 3523.81 Japan Speedmaster Triple Date 2002
I almost bought this model 3 months ago but pulled back. Found another one this week from a Trusted Ebay Japan Seller and managed to win the auction. Apparently this is a JDM only watch and only 1000 were made. Here are pictures from Eiji's posting (if I can get it to work). Any triple date fans out there?

What's in a name- Henri, Philippe, or Thierry?
I found the recent post regarding the Geneva seal vs the PP seal quite interesting and one commentary in particular caught my attention. Subtona raised the question as to whether the traditional Geneva seal might some day be of added interest to collectors. To be honest, I don't know whether his comments were sincere or facetious, but I'll assume the former.Expanding on that concept I wondered whether the watches produced under Henri Stern's stewardship might be similarly valued differently from those of his son Philippe, or grandson Thierry. For me the best days of Patek Philippe were under the reign of Henri until 1992-3 when he turned control to his son Philippe, who in turn passed control to his son Thierry in 2009.My first Patek was purchased in 1992 (certificate signed by Henri) and my more recent purchases have certificates signed by either Philippe or Thierry. Cellini makes Hodinkee's Watch Spotting
Not sure if someone else has posted about this but Hodinkee's Watch Spotting section has an article about former Pres. Obama wearing a Rolex Cellini reference 50509 (time only white gold) in his presidential portrait.I looked at this watch when it first came out. 39mm of white gold with a double bezel and classic time only. I like the changes Rolex made to this line. And IMOP it is a classic dress watch.
