Michael Bittel Double Diaphragm Eclipse Watch
This watch doesn't just have a dial that looks like a camera shutter, the prototype version actually used a camera shutter. Michael Bittel cannibalized a friend's vintage camera (he had permission) and took out the shutter. He ground it down and modified it, and used it to make an opening and closing dial on a watch. This isn't the first time that a shutter aperture style dial has graced my eyes, but it is one of the nicest renditions. They changed it from the earlier display models that were at the boutiques, the new design is much more supple and not as stiff. The underside is lined with black leather and the area around the adjustment holes is some kind of rubber. The beautiful in-house 9300It's only been with me for a few hours, but i'm very impressed with it so far! The fit and finish is superb and i'm more impressed with the strap than I thought I would be. Omega's in house movements are in my opinion some of the nicest and most beautiful production movements in the industry. My only complaints so far is that it doesn't ha
