A Comprehensive Review Of The 5513 Matte Dial Submariner
Vintage Rolex watches are all about the details. The smallest differences can separate a relatively common $5,000 watch from a rare $50,000 watch, and learning about them is a never-ending journey. It's part of what makes vintage Rolex so much fun to collect. Last week a new website popped up dedicated entirely to picking apart the history of the reference 5513 matte dial Submariner, cataloging the many subtle changes in the matte 5513 over its nearly 20-year production history. The matte dial 5513 Submariner was produced from 1966 to approximately 1984 and the no-date, two-line dial makes it instantly recognizable. Over the years the depth rating changed (meters-first became feet-first), various fonts and the alignment of the text shifted, and the size of the lume plots varied, all under the banner of the ref. 5513.To learn more, check out 5513mattedial here.
Patek 5227 WG
Hi guys, is that time of the month again when the obsession is just too much to bear on my own, and I have to unload. What do you guys think of the 5227 in WG ? From what I have seen is priced very high in comparison to other Patek complications. For example the 5205 in WG. What do you guys think about this piece? Yay or Nay? God bless you and thanks in advance.
Got the call... 5164A
I was thrilled to finally get the call from my AD that a 5164 had arrived after a very long wait. To me its the perfect travel watch. It's also one of the most under the radar high end watches I have ever seen, and that was also a huge plus. This watch is a great entrance for me into the world of PP and I truly love it. The dial is amazing and it is one aspect that has to be seen in real life to truly appreciate. The travel time function is the single most useful complication for me in daily use and Patek has brilliantly executed it for this watch. Its there when you want and you can hide it when you don't want it. Plus, the push buttons on the side makes changing time zones so easy. I know there are lots of pics of this one here already, but wanted to share a few more.
So the BLRO in WG now has a BLUE dial
Not discontinued. Just a new blue dial to differentiate it from the SS https://.rolex/watches/gmt-ma...blro-0002.html
My new DJ41 is so crispy clean and comfortable! I LOVE IT!
This is Honestly the most comfortable watch I've ever owned! I can understand why the datejust is Rolex's top seller. It's so beautiful. The white dial is just so clean and elegant. They nailed it with this one!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
