Frederique Constant Healey Chrono Automatic Watch For 2010
For a few years now, Frederique Constant has been in cahoots with the UK based Healey Challenge. An annual race operated by the Healey Drivers Club. What does Frederique Constant get do in this scene? Well make special limited edition watches that might be of interesting ti the Healey divers. I actually wrote about their last offering here, the most basic Frederique Constant Austin Healey watch. That was a three-handed model where this is a chronograph. Really when I think of race or motorcar themed watches, they have chronograph mechanisms. Thankfully Frederique Constant didn't insert the passe tachymetre scale on the bezel. Ever since the 40th Anniversary RO was introduced last year, the other ROs IMO pale in comparison. Was always resisting getting it when I already had the 15300 (black). Moreover, the rarity of the 40th Anni RO means it is seldom found in stores. A good reason to resist temptation However, a new piece shown up in Singapore and the rest, as one would say, is history. The only downside was the departure of the 15300 for this.The dial of the 40th Anni RO is really amazing; I can stare at it all day and it won't bore me a single moment. Two minor disappointment though: (1) the bracelet does not fit me as well as the 15300 and a 1.5 link costing S$500 is needed; and (2) there is no screw-down crown for the 50m WR.Nonetheless, it is truly a special watch A few lousy pictures of the special one:

Patek Philippe Turn-Around
I am starting this thread because yesterday, on the 28th of March 2011, I sent my Patek Philippe 5711G to Patek Philippe in Geneva for regulation. I will post again when it is returned. I thought it would be interesting to let others know how fast Patek Philippe turned around a relatively simple task on a relatively simple movement. Which is not to say they won't do considerably more work on the watch just to bring it up to their standards.

Hi,I am considering buying a strap plus a deployment buckle, but don't want to commit to buying OEM until I know I will like it. Does anyone knows of quality deployment buckles? I have found many on eBay or aftermarket websites ranging from $39 and up. I would prefer something of quality but don't want to invest $410+ strap until I know I will love it...Cheers.
