This was an interesting Doxa. Mainly because it was different than their diving watch line - which is at least all I know Doxa for in the modern sense. I've heard people complain about how Doxa watches are overpriced. That might be so, but they have been around for a while, and they made decent watches. Vacation led me to my first Patek
I was recently on vacation in Maui as part of a work trip. I knew Barron and Leeds on the island carried Patek and since my hotel was 5 minutes away I decided to pay them a visit to look, but had no intention of buying anything. I had always loved the aquanaut and the pushers on the 5164 intrigued me. When I inquired on any aquanauts in the store the woman said they only had the gmt and removed it from a display. I was instantly in love. She let me play with the pushers and try it on. After handing it back to her we chatted more and as I was leaving the store the woman said that they would be more apt to negotiate on the last day of the month, today, than the first.
