20 Brands, 20 Highlight Watches: Here’s What You’ll See at WatchTime New York 2015
The wait is over! WatchTime New York, America’s largest luxury watch show, starts tonight at Gotham Hall and features 20 sponsoring watch brands displaying their new timepieces for 2015. Scroll down to see each brand’s showcase watch, and click on the links for detailed reports on each. The new, gold-cased, black-dialed version of the A. Lange & S?hne Datograph Up/Down, combines a flyback chronograph with a classic column-wheel control mechanism and precisely jumping minute counter with a large Outsize date indication, a hallmark of the Glashtte-based brand. The Up/Down in the watch's name refers to the other element on the dial the power-reserve indicator with AUF ( up ) representing the maximum power reserve of 60 hours when fully wound, and AB ( down ) warning the wearer that the mainspring's energy has been depleted. The Armin Strom Skeleton Pure Water which recently won Germany's prestigious Red Dot Award for design is part of the brand's Skeleton

Came across some pics, of this awesome watch.Red can be a little loud, but if you see this watch in the flesh, it is really beautiful. The red dial is absolutely stunning, the red colour really works. Not sure if the watch is a little feminine or what?Like to hear some comments!!!,Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Bogdan beat me by a day... and see you all soon.
One of the reasons the heavier ROOs never fit well for me was because the strap fit wasn't right but with the shorter strap the hole configuration works better, its not that I needed the shortest strap just the hole alignment worked. So yeah here is the 44 RG. Just picked it up. I had my issues with the steel model but giving it another run with RG. Literally just took this out of the box, didn't even get back to my car before wanting to take a snap. Going to travel with this for a month and with the carbon. I still love my carbon to death.I'll be staying away from the forums for a while. Aside from having to be real busy for work, going to do a massive re-org to the collection, looking at all these threads is distracting.Ill be back in a month or two with a little something special ;)Keep that daily pic thread going! Happy watch hunting all!Sent from my Galaxy s3.
Supersize v Elegance
The new 5990.... when I first saw it I was delighted.............then I saw the video. While I admire the potential value of this piece to travellers, I cannot bring myself to come to terms with the bloated pushers and (formerly) hinge detail on the crown side. We see iterations of classic designs in all spheres of life and, usually, this comes with a increase in size. There comes, though, a point where the original concept and elegance has evolved into an entirely new product. The elegant 5711 morphed over time into the 5980 which, on its own merits, has become a most admired and classic piece. It retains the original DNA of the Nautilus. Somehow, I feel this has been abandoned with the advent of the 5990. There has always been some crossover between the Nautilus and Aquanaut with the 5164 filling an increasingly important niche in the market. Perhaps it is just the Modernist in me rebelling and I am willing to be convinced otherwise, but I am finding this release somewhat bemusing
Did it! Importing Rolex from EU to USA
For months I've been wondering if the Ban was actually lifted. So this month I pulled the trigger and purchased a watch online from Germany. Fortunately, the seller came highly recommended by a German friend I work with in Dubai. So the same rules apply, Buy the Seller. I could have easily flown to Germany to get the watch. But I really wanted to test the process. Lessons Learn:1. Your Seller will require a few days to get the Export documents from his/her Country's Custom Authority. This delay may seem he/she is up to something, but in actuality their dealing with Government workers (I think we all know how that can be). 2. Your seller may hire a Shipping Broker to assist with the export/import process. I was his first online US Buyer, so he needed assistance. I paid extra for the service ($150-$200), it made things go smoother. The overall shipping cost including the use of the Export Broker $300. 3. The Shipping Broker used FEDEX. The watch departed Germany on a Monday, arrived i
