Breva Genie 02 Air Black Watch
Earlier in 2014 we showed you the newest creation by Breva, their Genie 02 Altimeter watch with a hands-on look. It followed up the Genie 01 watches from 2013 that included a barometer. For Baselworld 2014, Breva is adding an additional version of the Genie 02 with the Genie 02 Air produced in a titanium case that has been coated in black and bears slightly different dial and calibration.The Genie 02 is a rather complicated watch given the fact that it has a mechanical altimeter in it. When Breva originally released the Genie 02 they tried to pen it as a watch for use on high mountains while skiing to check your altitude. I figured it made a bit more sense for them to focus on it being an aviation watch. I'm a Panerai guy. Big. Simple. Sport. Beat up leather straps.I just got a 232. A significant watch for me. Wanted for years.So.....why is it that I can't stop thinking about a Nautilus! That case on a strap is just incredible!!!! Why?!?!?!?!?! I should have never went to that store.Ok, if you made it this far maybe you can answer a question for me.Let's say I somehow got the money for a 5711 blue/black. Can it be worn on a strap like this watch?

Waterproof Leather strap for sea diving???
I am looking for a strap for water and day wear, I am going to live in Thailand in a few months so heat, transpiration and swimming will be permanent. I don't like very much the feel of the original Panerai rubber strap on my wrist, nato's are nice but I prefer way more leather straps. There are a few strapmakers that have for sale leather waterproof straps, has anyone already used these straps for this kind of use, for example in places like Florida or others?What are the result, does the strap hold the distance or are they just a little more resistant than a good aftermarket leather strap but no more?Thanks for sharing your experiences about this, I have found a few but the ones from good strapmakers are not cheap, between 180-240 dollars, would hate to spend that kind of money if it only lasts for a few months.
