ROO replacement bezel
Hi fellas,I was just wondering is there a way to get an OEM ceramic (or any other) bezel for 42mm ROO?I've asked the AP SC in London and they said they cannot replace my ss on with bezel that is made from different material. - which I presume is understandable in the sense that they wouldn't want people to tamper around with their design but I am feeling rebelious. I think I've seen a post sometime ago saying that you can get an OEM bezel?Any ideas?
PO 42mm weight : is it really unbearable ??
Unfortunately my relationship with the amazing IWC Galapagos is not working as expected so I've decided to put it for sale and go back to a more simple watch, just plain steel, time and date.I already own a Sea Dweller, wich I admit it took me quite a bit to get used to it's weight. I'm finely tuned with it now and I barely remember it's there,do you think I may noticed the further weight increase wit the PO (42mm,bracelet) ??A lot of enthusiastic reviews on the web about the PO,but the weight issue is something always mentioned.Wrist test at ADs has been done several times, but you know the feeling...when you are at an AD most of the times emotions take over and everything seems perfect....
Crazy nylon strap day (pic heavy)
The purpose of this post is to demo how various Rolex models would look like when put on nylon strap. These are my personal choices and opinions. You may agree/disagree and/or like/dislike. I don't want to start a debate but you are welcome to post your own pictures.I personally found nylon strap most comfortable when comparing among, metal bracelet, leather and rubber. My wrist sweats a lot. It is really uncomfortable with moisture condensing under the bracelet, rubber or even leather strap. From time to time it gives me skin rash. I tried to wear my watch really loose to help the problem, but the downside is the watch head knocking around. Nylon straps have many advantages1. Very breathable(important for me)2. conform to the wrist better(good for some tricky wrist)3. CheapI refer to these straps as nylon strap because I cut off the additional loop pieces of every singe of them. I found it provides no real function but adding bulk and makes the watch head sitting higher on the wrist.
