Chanel J12 And Audemars Piguet Make Watch Love
Still on my ceramic watch kick I thought it necessary to mention the young spawn of what happens when a designer meets a watch manufacture. I don't know if it was love at first sight, or how much courtship was involved, but the result was the best of both world. The Chanel J12 is a wildly popular watch design from everyone's famous favorite French design house Chanel. While not the first ceramic watch, Rados have been around much longer, Chanel showed the world that a ceramic watch could take a very classic look and construct it a non-metallic shiny black compound. Audemars Piguet on the other hand needs little introduction to most. Still a family owned company, but by no means small, they produced almost 28,000 luxury watches last year.Frankly speaking, Audemars Piguet does not need Chanel to enhance to look of their line, as they make some of the more beautiful watches available. Chanel probably benefits more from this relationship as it solidifies their status as a seller of serious
Continue waiting for 15202 or look for 15450 blue dial?
Hi all,Did anyone have recent luck with purchasing 15202 through an AD in the US? You can PM me if you want. I have been number 1 on my AD's waitlist since Jan 2017 but haven't received that watch as yet. My AD mentioned last year that he will continue to get at least 1 15202 in a year from the leftover allocation of the boutiques. He used to receive more 15202s before it became boutique exclusive. However, now he is not sure when and if he will get a 15202 this year. What should I do? Should I continue waiting for the 15202 or start looking for a 15450 blue dial? As background, I had a 15450 silver dial which I sold last year in order to upgrade to 15202. The 15450 wore slightly small on my 6.4~ flat wrist, more like a 38-39 mm size dress watch than a sports watch. I have tried the gold 15202 few times and it wears fine. In an ideal scenario, 15202 will be my first choice but now I am not sure if I can get it from my AD.I understand that 15450 blue dial is also boutique exclusive but i
5990/1A Dial
Does anyone know if the black gradated dial of the 5990 differs from the black dial of the the 5726?Thanks
PP as a daily....
Any AD's I've spoken to laugh when I ask this question. They state clearly that Patek is making watches that last a lifetime or three, and that it can surely be, or even should be, a daily watch. Further on, I'm told that many Patek owners have only one watch so clearly it's a daily. However, I have read that it should not be. I personally love my 114060 as my daily, and don't see that changing, but I'm still curious what the experts here think.
