Everyone's favorite metal working watch makers Gustafsson & Sj?gren (GoS) are back with two new watch models. The line continues to evolve in a conservative manner (aside from the Damascus steel that is). Patrik Sj?gren and Johan Gustafsson have found that their customers prefer more classically styled watches - who'd have thought? It is actually true though. There is a tendency for us watch lovers to enjoy reading about wild timepieces, but when it comes down to it we want to wear something more conservative. Average Cost of Speedy Service ???
What is the average cost of an Omega Speedy Service from Omega? Just curious, I don't like to buy watches that cost alot to maintain. I do maintain them and I can't imagine that Omega Speedy costs too much, but just want to know. I'm thinking just a movement service. Believe it or not, I like scratches and nicks (provided they aren't massive or on the xtal). Will Omega honor a request that you not polish the case? Also, do any of you guys us locals to do your service? I sent my Panerai (6497 movement) to a Rolex autorized repairer and it was completed at a fraction of the cost Panerai would charge. Panerai starts at $500 for an 6497. That is rediculous IMHO. Thanks in advance.

5227r vs 5205r
Very different watches but which do you prefer? A simple Calatrava 5227r or a 5205r Annual Calendar. The 5227r is 39mm, hunter back, and thinner. The 5205r is 40mm, AC, and thicker. The AC complication is a bargain for an added $12,300USD but it's still a $12,300 price difference.

Benefits of a SS Watch
Well , I must say that I am pleased with the SD4K wearability... For one , it’s keeping excellent time ... Two, it’s pretty comfy with the divers extension removed...Three, I LOVE THAT I DON’T HAVE TO WIPE OFF THEFINGERPRINTS EVERY DAY CAUSE YOU CAN’T SEE THEM!!! I still love my Bluesy but everyday or every other day you can see the fingerprints !!!! Where it made contact with skin or something that cause the Gold pcl’s on the bracelet or The glidelock clasp to be dirty and lose its luster and I’m OCD!!! Ok rant over ... How long has it been since it took a nice soapy bath ???
