I am making my way outside Rolex for something new so I decided to pick something up I have always admired from a distance. Debated on 42MM or 45MM, orange numbers or white numbers. NEVER entertained the orange bezel however. That's outside my comfort zone. Can't beat the price purchasing second hand especially considering how much I have spent on Rolex. UK pricing?
With most watch brands pricing is held fairly consistent from country to country and currency to currency. There may be some small tax advantages of buying in one place or another but generally it doesn�t matter all that much where you buy it. For example Rolex DSSD: US retail 12,050 (?7800) UK retail: ?8050 (12,392)So basically in USD they are within $342 of each other and in GBP they are within ?250 of each other which makes it not matter all that much where you buy it as you are paying basically the same price. Which brings me to the PAM233, which I am currently looking at. With the US price reduction and the Europe price increase they are still pretty close but the UK is the outlier here. So I walked in to buy a 312...
...but two ADs later I ended up with a 510. This is my first venture into the Paneristi and glad I finally popped my cherry :). Based on pictures I was certain I was buying a 312...after trying it on it fealt awkward. Wanting an auto I move on to the 104...but I could not get past the lack of sandwhich dial. The staff at Tourneau suggested I consider the 510 and after much debate this was the winner! Love it!
