New to watch collecting and need some buying advise
So I say I'm new to watch collecting because I never thought of it as collecting. Recently my teenager started getting into watches and he realized while I don't actually wear a watch all that often I happen to have a few from back in my going to an office daily days. So I took out the old watches and with some googling how some were still in style while others never became classics like my tricolor gold Rolex (yes it was tacky when I got it but weren't we all). I sold most of them and only kept the ones with sentimental value. Here is where I get to needing advise. I want to start wearing a watch again on a daily basis. So I want to get a new or slightly pre-owned one. I'm thinking of an PP aquanaut or AP Royal Oak. I have excluded wearing a PP Nautilus on a daily basis, too fragile and scratchable. I know I'm in the AP forum here, but I figure the PP one will always say buy a PP. One more thing, my son says I should just buy a new Blue Milgauss with green tint since I'm always

Questions for Speedmaster Racing owners
Hi all,I've been thinking a lot about a new Speedmaster Racing recently - just waiting for the Omega boutique to get the one that I am interested in (grey dial, yellow highlights) in stock so I can see it in person before committing. The staff in the boutique have been stressing the quality of the newer movement in the Speedmaster Racing series, citing the longer manufacturer's warranty as an example of its robustness. That's all very well and good, but to be honest I expect any watch I'm buying new to be solid - and whether a 3 or 5 year warranty is offered doesn't really have much sway with me.What I would really like is to hear from some of you that already own one of these - how have you found it? The watch seemed thicker than I expected when I held it (thicker than any other speedy from the look of it), but on the wrist I didn't really notice it. Have you found that you accidentally hit the watch on things? Is it annoying sitting at desks? I'd love to know a bit more about these da
DD40 planning
So Basel didn't deliver any new dial choices, so working with a UK AD who so far has moved to 18% discount off list on YG DD40 White dial. So 20,951. Will be travelling to Middle East soon, would I be able to get a better deal than this there? UK watch seems to be better bet but don't know the UAE watch market, everything seems more expensive than UK to me over there!Advice/ insight appreciated.
