The Retail Watch Shopping Experience: Consider Not Going Through It
As a watch lover you probably spend more time looking at watches rather than actually buying them. If we bought every watch we liked, assuming the outrageous possibility that we could afford it, we would not have any room in our homes for much else. Thus, we peruse available watches online, in stores, and in magazines. Not to mention what we see on the wrists of others.That process probably results in us spending a good deal of time in watch stores. Sometimes there is only so much you can learn about a watch from a website. A watch that looks good by itself, does not necessarily look good on one's wrist. The size of your wrist and skin tone can effect how an otherwise great watch can look on you. This comes out very clearly when you try on watches, as the feeling you have when you put a watch on range from, "no," to "yeah..." (coupled with a giddy smile). Thus, much of the time you are going to want to try on watches, or simply browse in a watch store.So, you'd like to think that watch

Thank you to all who shared their insights over the weekend in my original thread Thoughts on the panerai 562 as a first panerai . I walked by the panerai boutique last Thursday and decided to take a look inside. When I ask the gentleman if he had any base models available, he showed me a panerai 562 �C a base pam in titanium with a chocolate dial and matching alligator strap. I strapped it on and it just felt right on my wrist. Still I thought I would sleep on it and at the same time ask the folks over at TRF about the watch, since I really had no idea about panerais and titanium watches. Many in the forum shared good things about the watch, and as the weekend passed, the excitement of strapping it on again only grew more intense. I came across another panerai �C a used but mint 112, an iconic model for sure. But it wasn't titanium, it wasn't a choco dial, and it didn't have a matching alligator strap. I kept thinking about getting the 112, but it just didn't stir any emotion.
