Grand Seiko Watch Roadshow 2012 At Arizona Fine Time
To be honest with you, I don't really like shopping for watches. I've visited some high-end stores, but have never had a good experience. Haughty and ignorant clerks make for a bad time. It's somewhat understandable in that most customers are not watch geeks, but I'm still averse. So keep that in mind when I tell you that I had a blast visiting the watch showroom at Arizona Fine Time for their Grand Seiko roadshow. This is an unusual place indeed.(Ariel visited last time, and I recommend reading his writeup here as I'll try to not duplicate what he said.)To my mind, the most interesting thing about AZ Fine Time is the back-story of how they came to be selling fine watches and cigars. Mitchel Hirsh, the owner, was a former commodities trader from Chicago who got started selling cigars, and then a few of his personal watches. What he found is that men, just like me, were not well served by watch sellers, and that a relaxed, guy-friendly atmosphere made for much happier customers. New ROO to the collection
Have had an ROO RC for several years now. But when I got that ROO the blue/orange ROC was something I had been lusting after at the same time. Then a few years later, the blue/orange ROO was launched and my jaw dropped. I had to have it! Well, the time finally came when Len posted his for sale last week and we came to a happy place to strike a deal. Len (aka gogator1) was excellent to conduct a deal with and the watch was exactly as described, even better than the photos he sent me. He really tried to capture any little flaw (maybe 1-2 total) in the perfect light so there were no surprises. Excellent communication and I finally have my color fix! Quick photo, wrist shots later. Wearing my BLNR today. :-)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
AP ROO RG 42mm Gold Dial - reviews and opnions
Hi! I already have the novelty Rg 44mm. Will I find the 42mm on Strap - too small in comparison. As I think I might have posted this question earlier but I will be ordering the watch without trying it on. Any pros or cons? Or should I just go for it. For many like myself AP ROO with a full gold bezel is a grail and a must. Looking forward to hearing from All. IThank you regards Urooj
There is wine and cheese.. but I prefer this pairing
PVD + Titanium base pairing is just as good as it gets for me. Layer on the gold cashmere and green canvas straps in the backdrop, I think we have arrived..Have a great weekend to all here!
For those is it safe threads???
Let me know. LOL
