Top 10 Watches Of Baselworld 2014
Baselworld 2014 marks the fifth anniversary of watches-dealer visiting the massive watch trade show event and at this point, our March/April pilgrimage to the third most populated city in Switzerland (not actually saying much) is met with gracious welcome by many of the brands who produce the best watches in the world. Baselworld is the larger of the annual watch trade shows around the world. While SIHH in January (in Geneva) is smaller, it is also an important event where a different list of important brands display their newest watch and jewelry creations. For your reference you can check out our list of the top 10 watches of SIHH 2014 to recall the timepieces we felt were the most worth knowing about. Price increase-
Does anyone know what the price increase was and which models had it?
Speedmaster Price Rise
Credit to Father John on another forum but his news is worth repeating here, the price on a hesalite Speedmaster 3570.50 is a rather staggering ?2,498 or $3,850! The last MRP I was aware of for the model was ?2,090, which I make to be a 19.5% increase.Wow! (In a bad way)
Panerai 380
TRF friends, Im looking into purchasing my first panerai and since i dont know too much of the brand i figure i start with the PAM 380. Any thoughts on this watch or should i get a PAM 631/632 instead? Let me know! Currently in my collection i have a Rolex Batman, Hulk, SS Blue Skydweller, SD43, and an AP Diver. Let me know if it fits the collections, thanks!
Where do you store your Prized watches?
Do you keep them in a safe or in a watch winder?I just obtained a. Watch winder and although it is beautiful, I cannot help but feel slightly paranoid about leaving watches in it when you think about their value. Anyone feel the same? Yes, they are insured.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
