Bring a Loupe: A Heuer That Tracks The Tides, An IWC With A Compass, A Patek With Removable Lugs, And Many Others
This week's Bring A Loupe will focus on quirky watches, and explain the special something that makes each stand out from the standard production of the brand. Among the beautiful oddities featured, you will discover an interesting Patek with removable lugs and an IWC that hides a compass. This is your Bring A Loupe for November 13, 2015. The IWC Compass Reference 3510A, True Tool Watch With A Twist 1 OF 11 The Compass model was launched in 1978 as a collaboration between Porsche Design and IWC; it offered a very astute way to combine a compass and an automatic movement. Detailed R&D – yielding six patents – was necessary to properly shield the movement from the compass' magnetism and allow a swift opening of the top part to reveal the compass underneath. As a result, the watch is obviously thick – 12 mm – but the 39 mm case size partly makes up for that. In addition, it is divinely light, having been manufactured in both aluminu
Calling out for ap expert!
Hi this is my first post on this web..I'm in a bit of a dilemma and need help from u expert out here. I've recently got a budget available and I was so certain that my mind was made on a 5980 white dial at a unbelievably low price. This was until I stop by an ap store and saw a Schumacher ti. I know both are very different type of watch but I did fell in love with both of them in a different way. My judgement in the end would however come down to which of these model will retain price better. In my own experience Patek tend to hold its value very well but I have no knowledge on the le piece for audemar. Any opinion or advise would be greatly appreciated thank u
Patek 5960/1A discontinued
It appears both models are discontinued, which apparently means the black dial was an extremely short run.I always liked the white model and was even more impressed with the black one when they announced it last year, but never pulled the trigger because the white dial looses a lot of value once it leaves the store and I'm not a fan of the bracelet (although I've seen beautiful pictures of the watch with a strap). Now that they are discontinued I wonder if the black dial will better retain its value. My AD has one in stock and I'm seriously considering it. What sort of discount (if any) should one expect to obtain on this model? Thanks
Anyone wearing Submariner WG ?

Just a favour fellas.
A friend of mine in America is selling her ladies Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch, what would this be worth retail and private. I am not thinking of buying it but would like to give her some advice on its price. This is the only photo I have. Just after a ballpark please. It is at least 17 years old.
