Veterans of the watch industry know that automatic watch winders are a relatively new addition to the horological enthusiast's world. Such an odd thing really. What did the last several decades of collectors do when they had large collections of automatic winding mechanical watches? I really don't know. In my ongoing coverage of watch winders, I seek to find the perfect winder for you. Each model and brand has something unique to offer, and will be right for many people. Personally, I have a growing collection of all sorts of winders. No winder is perfect, and the right one will depend on where you store watch, how large your wrists are, and of course your budget. It is a very modern and well designed watch winder that for some will be the world's most perfect winder.SwissKubiK watch winders are all perfect squares (10cm x 10cm) for the single winders. Though the company does make units that are meant to wind multiple watches.

Temption Cherubin Watch: Dynamic And Unique Rattrapante
How nice it would be to have a larger availability of Temption watches. With just two authorized dealers in the entire US, you aren't likely going to see Temption watches very often, which is a shame considering how beautiful these watches are. No wonder they are so hard to get.Temption has an interesting philosophy behind watch design which although resembling Scandinavian minimalism, actually has more to do with German Bauhaus design. The idea is functional art to the extent that the main purpose of the design is function and utility. Having said that, the design must conform with various rules such as attractive symmetry and fluid form. Omega Moon watch or Tag Heuer Monaco?
I am about to buy my second watch(currently have a 2015 Rolex SD4000)Torn between the classic Moon watch with closed case back and hesalite crystal or the Tag Heuer Monaco chrono with blue dial.Tag is about $700 more expensiveBoth evoke great memories from my youth, both feel great on, but can only afford one.Which should it be?

I need a Speedy
I never liked the speed master until I tried one on. This last weekend at the big T, I saw a speedy in the case and I said what the heck, I'll try it on. I was actually in the store awaiting the status of my Pam104. The speedy is so much more in person that in the pictures. The way the crystal stand above the dial, the way the white hands look against the matte black. I need one now. I almost dont even care about the Pam. My question is, the hesalite crystal: should I look into getting the sapphire or the acrylic. They had a 50th in the case as well as a reg pro. The two look almost identical with the exception of the display back and the 50th logo. But at a price difference of almost a thousand dollars, is it worth it. Not only the 50th but just the regular sapphire sandwich.(Do they still make the reg sapphire w/o the 50th anniv logo?)(Will I get sick of winding this watch and forget to wind it?) What are you thoughts? Experiences? Passion?
