Review of the AP ROC QEII Cup LE
As some of you may know, I am a die hard PP collector/enthusiast. That's not to say I don't appreciate other brands...it's just simply where I choose to put my horological investment. So that being said, let me confess, it takes something pretty special from AP to really get my motor running. Over the years there's been a number of these special pieces from Le Brassus I have pined for...but until recently never acted upon. Back in the spring when I saw the press release for the Royal Oak chronograph QEII Cup limited edition, I thought to myself I have to have one! So after months of searching, hours spent surfing, etc...I finally have one. Let me just say the search was worth it in the end, this piece is truly amazing.Upon opening the box and seeing the watch for the first time, I immediately noticed how the metal had a somewhat of a muted grey-hue to it that clearly distinguished it from stainless steel. Which type of AP owner do you belong to?
Some people buy to collect, some buy to wear, some just cant stop buying! Which type of owner are you??For myself, I belong to the type where I just cant bear to wear the new watches, I wore the 2nd hand models I bought.. Its sickening, to leave new release models as safe queen.. But I just cant bear to wear to run down its value. Cant stop looking at watches too!

UPDATE - Made A Decision - 5167!
Greetings All,Some of you may remember my thread a few weeks back about concerns I had with various PP sports models.(see here : https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=422893 )Well Im happy to say I made my decision thanks to all the positive replies I was lucky enough to get from our fiends on TRF & pulled the trigger on my new 5167A from the greatest out there OCROLEXGUY.Attached is a photo taken after sizing the strap!Love this piece, its absolutely perfect!
