Omega lume vs Rolex
I had my sub serviced a year ago and had a new dial and hands put in. The dial is legible all night, but compared to a 10 year old Omega, it's still pretty poor. Both watches exposed to same light all day. Says something about Omega quality.
Does this look ok?
Been trying to figure out if this dial is just faded or if this 2599.80 is suspect.. Everything else to my knowledge seems ok (as far as authentic) but am no expert. The waves seems to have gone from the dial or at least have lost their prominence.. Was made in 1998 as far as I know..I realize there are tons of fakes of these things out there.. Have a chance to buy this one for around 1500..thanks
Made a mistake...
I have been looking for a co-axial SMP bond for a while now, and yesterday I came across one for sale here in the classified. Looked great, and the seller had plenty of rep, so I impulsively bought it. Once paid for and shipped, I was doing a little surfing, trying to source a speedmaster style bracelet for it (which i prefer to the bond bracelet), when realized that I just bought a mid-sized watch, which I imagine will look silly on my ape-like 7 3/4 wrists. So now I'm stuck with a useless watch. I don't really have much else to say, other then i want to smash my head against a wall for being an impulsive idiot, and not checking the model number before I paid for something. Sigh. And I'm sure I won't learn from this...
The new Speedmaster Date 3210.50 arrives . . .
Well, my new Speedmaster Date 3210.50 arrived yesterday from my out-of-state AD. It's really pretty. I've got to get use to looking at the sub-dial at 9:00 o'clock for the sweeping second hand, but this watch is very cool. I sold my 36.2mm Railmaster, so now I have three Omegas (see my signature). As a point of interest, I have ordered COSC certificates, at 50 CHF per certificate, for my 36.2mm Railmaster (January), SM GMT (February) and my new 39.2mm Railmaster (March). Yesterday, I e-mailed Omega SA to order a COSC certifcate for the new Speedmaster Date and received the following: Quote:
Can anyone tell me the model number on this Rolex?
