Coming to us from Glashutte, A. Lange & Sohne have taken their benchmark Grand Lange 1 model and given it a dose of of funk with a semi-transparent dial, a la the Zeitwerk Luminous.? This pre-SIHH release is a limited edition of 100 pieces, all cased in platinum, and represents the first time the trademark outsized date will be luminous.It was just last year that ALS introduced the Grand Lange 1 with an entirely new manually wound movement - this time without the second mainspring barrel - to allow for a thinner profile.? My AP ROO Panda G Series Chronographs Aren't Working?
Hi Everyone,Just purchased my first expensive chronograph watch and am very excited about it. It's an Audemars Piguet ROO Panda G series, used but in great condition.One thing I noticed though was that when I pressed the top and bottom button but it had no effect on the chronograph. The top was supposed to start and bottom reset...The watch was kept in a winder and it's working correctly... Just not the chronograph.Any help is appreciated!

Breitling?
I am thinking of getting a Breitling Avenger Seawolf to the collection on a rubber strap as a beater for work. I am currently using a TAG aquaracer, but a devastating blow from a tractor door pretty much dispatched it today. I actually have a bruise in the shape on the diving helmet on the back of my wrist! Anybody have any thoughts on the line? I like the AS as it has the 44mm case and is an automatic...Thanks!!

Annual calendar enters October...
Yesterday was then end of my first 30-day month with the Nautilus Annual Calendar. I was both curious to see the gears grind away and also wondered if an old dog (me) could learn a new trick - make a time-lapse video of the event. I'm fascinated with time-lapse but don't have the right software tools so I resorted to the manual crowbar method...At 11:40 I found that the watch had already staged Sep 31st ;) in prep for the big 10/1. It took until 1 am for the date wheel to get perfectly aligned and I had lost patience at 12:45. Day of week clicked right in at 11:59. OK, well, whatever...The video is small and a bit jerky from embedding here and is better viewed on Youtube and even better yet on my machine. It's a bit crude but the soundtrack softens the blow (Lucky Thompson, anyone?).If I ever do this again (not likely) I'm gonna reset the watch and do it during the day!
