Does 5167 have automatic movement?
I saw some listings that the aquanaut has automatic movement. But I was on PP website and it's mechanical self winding movement. Can anyone clarify?
cheese knife, goldberger stikes again
John Goldberger as seen on previous Hodinkee interview opening an extraordinary watch back after wiping the cheese knife on his sweater at the bar while sitting with Hodinkee's Benjamin Clymerprevious interview here if you haven't already caught it:.hodinkee/blog/talking...ohn-goldberger
New Watch, same lousy photographer
I've been procrastinating. And when I finally try to upload some pictures I realize I shouldn't really be using an iphone camera.I apologize to everyone (especially those who make a real effort and raise the bar with their uploads) for the terrible photo quality and especially to the Patek Philippe company for making the 5110P look so grimy. It's a beautiful watch, especially spectacular under direct sunlight. But then it becomes extremely difficult to get a nice picture for a man with my limited talents.About the watch - the 37mm is perfect for my 6.3 inch wrist. Platinum is unlike stainless steel or gold. You will appreciate it when you see it in person. The dial is crystal clear and sharp (you wouldn't believe it with these photos, ask Descartes if you don't believe me), and I think the watch is wasted under long sleeves. I'm looking forward to wearing it all summer. I've actually been staring at it and watching the inner dial turning very very very slowly.
What is your favorite PAM? I'm leaning toward a GMT. What do you think and prefer?
Hi all. I don't have a PAM but saw one on a gentleman and it looked incredible on the wrist. It was a basic PAM 0000. He gave me their catalogue. I'm going back this week. Which models hold their value the best? I plan to buy off TRF. Lots of questions. Just chime in where you feel like it. Thanks. Russell.
