CORUM Heritage Artisans Coin Watch
The bald eagle became the national bird of the United States on June 20th 1782. It is a symbol of beauty, strength and prestige which appears grasping arrows and an olive branch in its talons on most official American seals, including the President's. It also appears on several coins such as the US dollar and inspired Corum to design the first Coin Watch with a coin as a dial in 1964. Half a century later, the?La Chaux-de-Fonds brand has unveiled a limited edition of 100 pieces whose dial is a real dollar in 925 silver protected by sapphire crystal. Two black baton-shape hour and minute hands burst from beneath the eagle's head powered by the self-winding CO 082 calibre which provides a 42-hour power reserve. The movement is nestled in the 43mm silver case whose crown gleams with a diamond.?Price: 12,400 CHF.?Sharmila Bertincorum.ch

New to Patek with the exception on my Golden Ecplise. The GE was gifted to me several years ago and has been my formal attire watch. My purposes for posting are:1. To learn more about the GE. I have done a search here and on Google. I am interested in your opinions on the model and my vintage, (3605J - I think).2. What model you would recommend for my next Patek. My budget is 10-20k.
Sunday in Singapore
On a rare day off, all my chores and housework done, 30k ride on fat bike done and Mrs Van D on her way from Basel to Barcelona via London. What does young Ruud do with himself? I know, let's go to OP. The head of retail for all of Asia is in for a couple of days and proceeded to drool over my 689. After talking to him, it's left me realising exactly how lucky I am to have scored a 689. They're all gone from from the OP boutiques around the globe, every single one. And there's no plans for another at this time. Next it was time to do some hunting. I had a play with the 687, 389 and my beloved 533. I think I need another watch box..........
OK, Ive decided on my Grail.
This was an important decision in my life. After all, if we don't have dreams... what do we have? Right? Now, I LOVE my DJ 41 (Picture below). It really is everything I expected and wanted in my next Rolex. Elegant, classy, definitely attractive but not ostentatious, it has gotten more comments from both WIS and non-WIS alike then my sports models ever did; (GMT, EXP II). To me, it is the quintessential Rolex, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. BUT... like everything else in life (at least mine) as soon as I got it I wanted something better. I bought a Ford then wanted a Lincoln, I bought a Tumi bag then wanted a Gucci, I buy a DJ 41 immediately I start lusting for a PM model; ... ... I'm a sick man . So, I set off on a quest... which model Rolex do I set my sights on? PM for sure but Gold or Platinum? Sports model or Dress? I mean, these are important decisions right!??!?!?? I spent hours, toiling through the Rolex website, spoke with my fellow TRFers and
