Hoptroff No. 10 Atomic Pocket Watch: Interview On Making A Time Gadget For The Future
There's going to be a rather interesting watch presented later this year at SalonQP 2013 in London - an atomic pocket watch called the No. 10 by Hoptroff. At first blush, you're probably thinking that it's just another atomic radio signal-syncing timepiece, albeit one that's in a different format than we're used to seeing (and even quite different from Bathys' Cesium 133 atomic clock watch creation). However, this has the potential to be something a whole lot cooler (and one you likely wouldn't want to take through airport security). The Hoptroff No. 10 is actually going to rely on an on-board atomic clock that relies on a cesium oven (which is why we're seeing this in a pocket watch case, and not on your wrist) to maintain accuracy with the same Symmetricom atomic clock ship that the Bathys Cesium 133 uses, but here in a larger and probably more logical pocket watch form. While details are still forthcoming (we'll be able to provide a better sense of the watch as the November start of
New 15400 Owner
I've had it for two days and can't get over how the white/silver dial reflects light. It is so comfortable, so beautiful, so mesmerizing. I've almost wrecked my car due to my being distracted in traffic.
At last....PO...new addition
Finally after the trials and tribulations of nearly being caught with a fake...Bought from authorised omega service centre, the photos don't do it justice, paid a little more than I intended to from the start but I have a 12 months warranty and documentation, it's kept perfect time over 15 hours (using Time is on my iPad) .....just got to get the fit right (took me 3 visits to the AD with my Rolex GMT), to be used for daily wear so that's the collection finished and sorted........yea of course ( my wife's words)😄After 30 years in the waiting.......GMT IIc
My AD got a Hulk and a Batman this morning.
Too bad I wasn’t first on the list. At least they are shipping. He has a James Cameron that is sitting there. May go get it in the AM.The best,NB
Is my AD full of it?
Hi folks. I have unfortunately not been able to be active here for a while. Back in 2016, I searched high and low for an AD that would negotiate substantially. I finally found one, bought my first Rolex, and have been referring many family, friends, and Forum members to them with great success. Fast forward to yesterday, I contacted the owner with a request for a friend, and below was his reply - which is totally out of character. My question is if there is any truth to his response, or is he full of it, like the typical Rolex AD is?All Rolex's on serious backorder and allocation. Especially models like the Sky Dweller's. Im afraid the days of any substantial discounts, even for good customers, is over.
