Baselworld 2013: Omega Speedmaster 57 Co-Axial Chronograph
Baselworld 2013: Welcome yet another?Omega Speedmaster for you Omega fans out there, the Omega Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph is a vision of the past with new guts. It seems several items to be unveiled at Baselworld were posted on Omega's site yesterday a bit prematurely and quickly taken down.? We told you yesterday about? the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon, as we were able to grab some of that info before Omega pulled it from their site, and today we have enough info on another release from that "leak" - I went to that release page today, and in spite of getting George Clooney's face on the error page of the Omega website staring at me......we have another Omega Speedmaster variation to tell you about with timeless appeal that will certainly speak to more people.Take a look at the Omega Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph, most obviously a refresh of the very first Omega Speedmaster that came out in 1957. Yesterday, we had the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon,
IN THE SHOP: A Killer 321 Speedy, Universal Compax In Steel, And An Investment-Grade Datejust (In White Gold!)
It wouldn't be Tuesday without some new additions to the HODINKEE Shop! As always, we've gone ahead and sourced some absolutely killer watches for you – and this includes a handful of watches that are coming from you, private owners! Today we are proud to offer another beautifully aged, 321-powered Omega Speedmaster, a wonderful early Universal Genève Compax with telemetry dial, a stainless-steel triple calendar from Jaeger-LeCoultre, and our personal favorite, a 1960s Rolex Datejust with gilt, glossy dial and a case of white gold! Didn't know they existed? Well now you do, and you can find it in the HODINKEE Shop. 1940s Jaeger-LeCoultre Triple Calendar In Stainless Steel 1 OF 4 When one thinks of the 1940s, one thinks of two things – the triple calendar complication, and the tear-drop lug shape. Seldom do we find a watch that combines both traits so elegantly, with a true in-house haute horlogerie caliber, in a stainless-steel case!
Two is company...
Had to get rid of the Hublot RG aero bang and the RG millenary 4101 to get the 42 RG ROO. It was a rather imposing and inspiring decision but all worthwhile due to this impeccable pairing. Your thoughts please.
Rolex service time
Hi Guys,Just got a new Daytona OF last year. Had it for about a month and watch stopped for no reason. Took it back to my Ad who sent it in for me in Dec. Haven't got the watch back yet. Lol. Just asked my Ad last week what the issue is and they said I over wind the watch. Any idea what's normal service time on issues like this. Thanks!
A born Pepsi or made Pepsi. Any difference in value?
Hello fellow TRF folksI want to get a Pepsi. Does it matter value wise if I get a 16710 black insert and put a Pepsi insert on it vs getting a Pepsi born 16710?Thanks in advance!
