Photo Report: Watch Spotting At Pitti Uomo
In the middle of SIHH, there was a different platform for watches (and men's fashion) – the Pitti Uomo. The Pitti Uomo takes place bi-annually in Florence and is one of the largest men's fashion events in the world. It also happens to be a fantastic place for street style, people and watch spotting. Here are some of the highlights from the Pitti Uomo that took place January 13th through the 16th. 1 OF 15 Rolex Submariner Reference 16610 in Stainless Steel 2 OF 15 Vintage Omega DeVille 3 OF 15 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Reference 14790 Stainless Steel 4 OF 15 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Reference 5402 Stainless Steel 5 OF 15Vintage Omega6 OF 15Omega Speedmaster The Dark Side of the Moon 7 OF 15 Rolex GMT Master II Reference 16710 with Pepsi Bezel 8 OF 15 Omega Seamaster, James Bond Edition 9 OF 15 Rolex Submariner Reference 16610 10 OF 15 Rolex GMT Master Reference 16700
Introducing: The Cartier Drive, A New Men's Watch With An Eye To The Past (Details, Official Pri
This could be the Cartier many of us have been waiting for. In fact, earlier today, when CNN asked each HODINKEE team member to pick one watch that they really liked from the day's presentations, it was the new-shape men's watch from Cartier – the Drive – that I chose. Why? Because I've been dying to find a modern day men's Cartier that fits me, and my taste. The Calibre Chronograph was a step in the right direction, the Calibre Diver even more so, but they were still a little bulky, a little sporty for me. I mean, I own great sports watches from Rolex, Omega, and others, so why buy a Cartier sports watch? That's not what Cartier is to me, but the Drive is exactly what Cartier is to me. It's beautiful, it's refined, it's masculine, and its movement is made in-house! And the price? You're gonna like it. 1 OF 11 The Drive is aimed squarely at men, and men with taste. The Drive de Cartier (Cartier Drive) is a vintage autom
PP 5140p-017; Anyone have one?
Does anyone have the grey sunburst dial version of the 5140p? From all these images and pictures and ads on the internet, I can't determine if the hands and hour markers are YELLOW gold or WHITE gold? The official Patek website simply describes them as gold, which is no help. Can anyone, who actually HAS one of these or has seen one in a store, chime in, please? And if you HAVE one, do you have any regrets or issues with it? So far, this is at the top of my list for my first Patek. Thanks, as always.
